When my husband and I celebrated our 42nd anniversary last year we spent a few nights at a hotel. At breakfast the second morning the lady who was supervising the breakfast room said how wonderful it was to see us talking to each other. We were surprised by that. She said so many people sit together at breakfast and give their attention to their phones rather than each other. So sad. I guess that's how we have been married for so long--we know the value of COMMUNICATION.

I just found a SDA church in my area🙌 I have been observing the sabbath and asked several pastors (baptist, non denom) and none gave me a biblical reason we don't observe the sabbath. i am wanting to go the SDA church but will be my first time. Is it ok for me to just show up or should i call, ask permission?

I was raised Lutheran. After Lutheran college, I was floundering. I put Christ on Hold for 30 years: They didn't teach what the Bible did. I failed a religion class by answering the One-question Final:"What think ye of Christ?" by saying "if He's who the Bible says He is, we should be preaching on street corners! He is everything we and the World needs!" I had to retake the dumb class and wrecked my potential 4.0 GPA right off the bat! But I surely knew what NOT to say!!!

I had a Experience that was unexpected. I know Pastor Batchelor bring up what happens too people in Hospital's during surgical operations; I've only had 1 surgery and it was too have my Wisdom teeth pulled um, 3 year's ago in fact. This Experience I had took place Thursday Morning, August 27, 2020 7:47 a.m.-10:30 a.m. All I did that morning is get up head to the bathroom, clean up come out look at my digital clock it was 7:47 a.m. I still felt particularly sleepy so went back to Bed for a little more sleep. The trouble is trying to fall back to Sleep I think of random thing's in order too Fall asleep. I began thinking randomly of Time. admittedly a hokey Sci- Fi Show was being replayed on TV Quantum Leap and the whole premise dealt with Time involving some supposed it principle String Theory involving Quantum Physics. I again begin thinking of ah you know what everyone; I'll share more on This Experience if anyone is interested in wanting to know more about what happened.

But it is true that if you keep the Sabbath, you will also know Jesus who is the Lord of the Sabbath, and Jesus is God. The Sabbath is not just a blessed day, it is about all that is perfect in God's creation , it is about God the Creator, and so much more, it is about denying sin and claiming God's perfection, it is about living one day a week in perfect harmony with God and fellow man, just as if sin never existed, it is a little piece of heaven on earth... I had a Experience that was unexpected.
I know Pastor Batchelor bring up what happens too people in Hospital's during surgical operations; I've only had 1 surgery and it was too have my Wisdom teeth pulled um, 3 year's ago in fact.
This Experience I had took place Thursday Morning, August 27, 2020 7:47 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
All I did that morning is get up head to the bathroom, clean up come out look at my digital clock it was 7:47 a.m. I still felt particularly sleepy so went back to Bed for a little more sleep.
The trouble is trying to fall back to Sleep I think of random thing's in order too Fall asleep.
I began thinking randomly of Time. admittedly a hokey Sci- Fi Show was being replayed on TV Quantum Leap and the whole premise dealt with Time involving some supposed it principle String Theory involving Quantum Physics.
I again begin thinking of ah you know what everyone; I'll share more on This Experience if anyone is interested in wanting to know more about what happened.

@@billclass5847 I'm sorry to read all this. I've never heard an adventist claim that you can ONLY know God through keeping the Sabbath. But it is true that if you keep the Sabbath, you will also know Jesus who is the Lord of the Sabbath, and Jesus is God.
The Sabbath is not just a blessed day, it is about all that is perfect in God's creation , it is about God the Creator, and so much more, it is about denying sin and claiming God's perfection, it is about living one day a week in perfect harmony with God and fellow man, just as if sin never existed, it is a little piece of heaven on earth... And, guess what: if you can live like this one day a week, you can live like that 7 days a week.. It is AWESOME... God bless.
