With the help of the trainers, Tiffiny Hall, The Commando Steve, Michelle Bridges, and Shannan Ponton, a new set of overweight families will change their lives forever. The contestant with the highest percentage weight lost will win $100,000, AND the family with the biggest percentage weight loss will win $100,000!

It's funny, I remember watching season 8 and I made a comment about how Cher and someone else (can't remember his name) were at 150kg and only losing 3kg early and (after they admitted to not following diets or the workouts) I commented saying they could have done more, and Amber (one of the previous contestants) had a go at me. Yes I agree that a loss is a loss, but look at what can be achieved when there are NO EXCUSES made and NO SLACKING OFF in the work outs. The red team and black team demonstrate exactly what can be achieved when you give it 110%!
Hope the whole black team stays.
