    I looked at a few brands before choosing to buy a 3ts-8t. Used to move logs and snow around my property, 2 years later & i have zero regrets in bringing a teleskid home. The extended boom comes in handy so much more than i expected!

    For me dealer support is the biggest thing. We have all john deere because the dealer is three miles from our farm. We have tried other brands and I end up driving all over the place finding parts during harvest. If we need a tech to come out they are there with in the hour most of the time. We just can't get that with any other brand. Its great you tried all the brands can't wait to see what you end up getting.

    My grandpa got a NH skid steer in 1992 and we sold it this year because we got something bigger. Very reliable brand, ours didn't have many major issues at all. Not a fan of JCB from what I've seen but I don't have a whole lot of experience with them.

    Wish I had the cash to be looking at new skid steers.
    Those JCB tele skids are really interesting.
    I've been looking an mini excavators too, then saw those Mecalac 8MCR's
    Lots of capability in 1 machine, but has the price tag to go with it.

    For my uses I’d definitely prefer the JCB over other units. New Holland and Case are basically the same company now aren’t they? I’ve heard lots of complaints about them not honoring warranty but personally haven’t had any experience with them. One day I hope to get an excavator myself.

    • @RockhillfarmYT

      I’ve been using Facebook groups to poll people who warn there living with these machines and case/new Holland it’s not one of the more popular options. Surprisingly, Neither is bobcat
      It seems like John Deere, Cat, And Kubota are the most popular brands that have a dealership near me
      JCB and Takeuchi get recommended a lot but they are not nearby.
      The fact that this local new Holland dealership is going to start carrying JCB is interesting

      I don’t believe that they do although I have found that John Deere does that with a lot of equipment.
      Their stand on mowers are basically wright standers with their own layer of technology on top of it. Their mini excavators are Hitachi with their John Deere features added
      I don’t believe that is the case with the skid steers though

    Speaking of JCB, Brock did you see the 1CXT? 49 horsepower track loader with backhoe. Weighs less than 10 k. This machine interested me because of its weight and versatility. Did they have one on the lot, or at the show in Louisville?

    • @RockhillfarmYT
      @RockhillfarmYT  Před 2 lety +2

      That is the machine that first made me Think about JCB. I’ve watched videos of guys who actually have them and seem happy with them. It’s intriguing because I want a mini ex almost as bad as I want the skid steer
      It is a very cool machine and I think could be disruptive to the industry but it does have a downside in my mind. Similar to a tractor Backhoe you cannot take a scoop of dirt and set it directly behind you. In some instances that ability is what really makes a mini excavator stand out.
      In the machine that you’re talking about you would need to move the dirt twice to get it on the other side of you or rotate the machine with every scoop.
      Couple problems with rotating the machine with every scoop. Number one you have to turn the seat around facing the other way to move the machine. Number two, you’re going to dig quite a hole with your tracks
      I still like the machine but it is something to consider

    • @jeffmayeux1692
      @jeffmayeux1692 Před 2 lety +1

      @@RockhillfarmYT All valid points to consider, Brock. One thing that engineers of that machine could do is put an under carriage that allows full rotation of the cab. Three immediate downsides are the swing clearance when rotating the cab because of the loader and bucket, increased weight of machine, and, of course, increased price.
      Its hard to have everything you want in one package. But that JCB 1CXT is a game changer for sure.

Someone rear ended my GMC Sierra last week and luckily it's just a bumper replacement....I would not like to be truck shopping now......low inventory, low selection, no deals! @@robh7421 The 3TS (The JCB Model in this video) has a max reach of 8ft, a total lift height (to the hingepin) of 13ft. Never heard of anyone having any issues with the single arm design. Seems extra tough and durable. Also, there are 3 options of "track mode" where you can lessen the sensitivity of the controls (1-3). Seems like the salesman who was too busy maybe didn't know his JCB very well.

    • @RockhillfarmYT
      @RockhillfarmYT  Před 2 lety +2

      They were a new dealership for JCB. This was the first machine they ever had which is why I ran over there.
      I have been trying to look at one but the nearest dealer was five hours away
      Salesman didn’t know anything about it so all I knew was what I had seen in other videos.
      The more I think about it the more I like these JCB’s. That side entry door is awesome.
      I had a rented skid steer a while back and I had a load of plywood picked up and My runners fell over. I couldn’t figure out how to get out and fix the runners because I didn’t want to set the plywood on flat ground and have to pick it back up again
      Side door would’ve been really nice. Not to mention the obvious advantage of that extra reach
