If you drive mainly on paved roads, the mud tires will cup. Also, many come in E and F rating,they ride rough. Wet weather traction and dry traction on pavement is way less than a good all terrain, so your stopping distance in rain will be worse. Unless you take your truck in mud, sand, and off road on a regular basis, they are not ideal. One thing you could do if you go off-roading once a month or less is put all terrain tires on your good rims, get cheap rims, for your mud tires,and you have the best of both.
