Wonderful handle, and thats what this video should be named "making a handle for a cleaver" zero love whatsoever for the blade. Dissapointing...
I am VERY disappointed you didn't watch Q&A video before leaving this comment. Also, it is disappointing you spelled "Dissapointing" wrong. I am going to leave this disappointing comment for you to read.
Another butthurt youtuber that cant take critisism
Another butt hurt commentator that can't take criticism.
@@SLAVIKTELY LOL
@@SLAVIKTELY savage man 🔥😂
Beautiful restoration, sir. Thank you for not grinding away the character and history of Tom's meat cleaver. The handle is truly a work of art.
Thank you very much!
I watch these before bed and it helps me sleep. So amazing man love this stuff.
Hahaha thought I was the only one.
Thank you for watching my videos. You two are not the only ones who find it relaxing to watch my videos. My Tely therapy does work.
Nice to see a commercial rust remover, vinegar is great but some products are so much better. Might look into evaporust in the future. Very easy to use and can be saved to use many times.
Thanks.
you are a restoration god Mr.Tely. as you are probably aware there are lots of cleaver restoration vids, this has to be one of the best I've seen. the wood you used, very striking, beautiful colour when it was buffed out. thanks for not completely buffing the blade out, in my opinion that takes something away from the finished product. thanks for uploading.
Thank you for the compliment
As a man who has two of your cleaver restorations. NICE JOB ! You have become a master cleaver restorer. Im proud to have a few of your knives and 2 of the meat cleavers that you took so much time and effort to do for me. Slavik you are a true craftsman. Great job I must say Im a bit jealous of this one. Maybe it should be mine also. 👍
Thank you Joe. I am afraid this one has to go back to NY.
Looks really good . I like how you retained the antique look while making it a beautiful , yet utilitarian work of art . You use combinations of woods that are strikingly pleasing to the eye . Great set of videos , thanks for the uploads .
Thank you.
Beautiful. To those that say more effort could be put on blade, please look at he title.. This is a customers blade.. and we KNOW from the past, Tely will make the knife as the owner wishes. Beautiful work.
Jennifer, you are 100% correct about the customer's wish. Every little detail was approved by the customer.
It's a cracked blade. AKA-junk.@@SLAVIKTELY
@@TTTTTTTTztttttttt Cracked or not customer WILL get his cleaver back with a new handle. He collects my work and does not use it.
Tely does it again!
That should be an heirloom for the family for another 100 years.
Your attention to detail is amazing Tely.
Thank you for inviting us all along on your projects.
I LOVE the way you left blade with great character...it tells a story...LOVE all your work... amazing knife maker... amazing artist...and somewhat a chemist!...;)
Thank you. I like it that way too, it tells history.
Great handle build as well as keeping the history of the blades dents and wear. A Butcher Knife with an active history.
Thank you. I get a lot of hate for not buffing out the blade to mirror polish. I love to leave history as it is.
Hi thanks, I think that there is nothing as beautiful as an old item made new again. Absolutely well thought out and expertly carried through.Thank you for sharing.🇮🇪
Slavik, it is awesome watching you work! The ideas you come up with and how you execute them for a finial product is wonderful. Cheers
Great job, I loved hearing the rain falling. You do wonderful work.
Excellent restoration and excellent combination of Old looking blade and New handle.
You are really good in making those handles. This one is sick!
Looks amazing! It’s truly a pleasure to watch you work, sir ... keep those videos coming
The handle is so dope! NICE ONE AS ALWAYS!
Good to see you back in action 👏🏻👏🏻
До чего же приятно смотреть на работу профессионала! Как всегда отличный результат!
This is my favorite restoration thus far! Sir, you are a wonder.
Fantastic resurection of a seemingly scrap cleaver, the hamdle is magnificent, I especially lliked the way you left the aged look to the blade, as always Slavic, thanks for sharing.
Love the patina left on the blade. That bolster alone is a beautiful piece. Always fun watching a craftsman ply their trade.
I have watched all of your videos numerous times, I love your style and patience you put into each project. You're by far my favorite knife maker. Hopefully one day I can have you make me a custom knife. Thank you for your content man!
Amazing. It’s such a pleasure to watch you working. You are an artist. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
As a huge fan of Tely, I really enjoyed this 2 part video. Truly a top talent and we are fortunate enough that he shares the process. This is one of my top fav videos I have seen on CZcams. Thanks for doing your thing and sharing. Don’t spend more than a couple mins on the “Q&A” that seem to,go along with cleaver jobs (LOL)... use those cycles on the next blade video ;)
Such a nice job man... I'm always amazed at how much time and effort you put into these. You got a good eye for how a blade is supposed to be made.
Beautiful! That's a lot of labor. Amazing skill & craftsmanship. A joy to watch.
Once again hats off to the master!! Beautiful work Mr Tely.
I've been watching you for a while now, and every time I see your work I'm amazed. The quality is amazing.
As usual a beautiful job. It's just so much fun watching you work. Always makes my day. Thank you, please keep up the good work.
Nice rescue Slavik!!!
An oldie but goodie!!
You did a great job on that old timer!! Who found it? Oh... and let the flack begin😝 me n Joe got your back!!
The owner of this cleaver is the owner of the Tanto Knife. If you watched my vacation video where I see my knives again then you know who he is.
Just some beautiful craftsmanship! Best looking handle I have ever seen.
Á
Hey man that thing looks awesome. And for everybody out there that has to put their .02 cents in, I would suggest start making your own videos and spread your "vast" knowledge that way. Some of us do with what we've got.
That is so true. Thanks Greg.
@@SLAVIKTELY man you do some amazing work. I look towards your videos as inspiration. There are many on CZcams, but yours are my favorite.
Even without any narration or music, I could watch you work for days!
Amazing work!! Fit and finish are impeccable
Сначала ставлю лайк а потом смотрю. Славян как всегда красоту сотворил .
It would have also looked really nice if it had a mirror finish, but it still look really cool like this. I especially love the handle, that thibg looks great👍👌
@OriginalYithian your right, cause giving it a mirror finish would defeat the whole purpose because since there is an entire new handle the only actual original part about it would be the blade, if he took off most of the blade then there really wouldnt be anything to show its originality
Your fine detail and passion is wonderful. Really enjoyed the videos
You're amazing doing handles, the work and deddication that you invest doing it shows how that makes look beautiful at the ending photos!
Beautiful restoration! Impeccable command of tools and procedure....
You make some of the best handles that I have seen on here. Great Job.
Perfect EDC. Great job. Thank you
The workmanship and the handle were gorgeous 👏👏👌👍
Simply the perfection. You are a grandmaster I can not appriciate enough.
Badass! Craftsmanship at its finest. Beautiful work.
Your fit and finish work is inspirational and amazing. Thank you
That handle looks amazing, great job!
Very nice build love the handle and the old rustic look you kept on the blade
Looks awesome, i love the damascus piece in front of the handle.
Awe yes the Tanto Knife!!! One of my favorites that you made!!!! 👍👍👍
Though I might not like the handle shape, I like the thorough making of it. Love your work, keep it up
3:03 I always use a wire wheel on my angle grinder to remove rust. Its faster than any rust remover.
9:19 Precision gueswork at its best
Keep up the sublime work! I wish as was half as diligent as you!
Thankyou for Not grinding, sanding and polishing the blade to a (mirror ) shine . So many " restoration " You tubers just destroy old blades and it breaks my heart
I do agree with you. I had to leave this one because it showed texture and history behind it. Thanks for watching.
Sometimes leaving some parts less "beautiful" just makes the finished product look more beautiful. Don't know why. Maybe it is the contrast. Just like an beautiful girl looks even more fancy when she stands next to her more plain friend. Or shotguns that are hand engraved look more beautiful than lazer etched because they got that something to them. Small imperfections. I guess it makes things more beautiful to leave something ugly to them.
@@ReasonAboveEverything I think the "handiwork" means there was a man, and not a machine, behind it. And, the man has a history, a story to tell. The hand-engraving is more meaningful if the "man" was a grandfather, father, uncle or brother. (Or, grandmother, mother, aunt or sister.) But, even the handiwork of a stranger (warts an all) has a beauty that machines cannot replicate.
D L My grandfather who is an carpenter and artist said that making beautiful things is an art of increasing perfection to almost its maximum but just almost.
@@ReasonAboveEverything that's a good quote; and, so true.
Stunning work! As always..
Nice job. Thanks for sharing.
thanks for sharing this with us.beautiful finishing sir
Great work, brother! Like always
Stunning work sir. Amazing. Well done.
Simply incredible. From totally FUBAR'ed to a stunning work of art. You are, far and away, my favorite knife maker on the Tube.
Thank you Mike.
Very nice work. Love the little perfections you do all the way. Like the bevel on the handle against the damaskus. Fine details do so much to the final result.
Thank you.
Wow! Another thing of beauty. (that cleaver was used for cutting lathe).
What an achingly beautiful upgrade. Man...
You are an amazing craftsman. Well done
Tely, you're a true artisan my friend.
Looking forward to seeing more.
Fantastic Artwork and Craftsmanship!!! One&OnlyArts
Handle's nicer than the blade.
Excellent job. I really like the handle.
Nice work! I''ve never seen a tool with a tang that long before.
That's a f**king awesome job dude !
You absolutely nailed that restoration.
THANKS FOR ENDLESS EFFORTS ... VERY NICE WORK ...
Как хорошо, что вы не отполировали весь кливер, а оставили аутентичную фактуру ножа. Рукоять, конечно, нужно было заменить - новая просто шедевр! Разумеется лайкос и ожидание новых творений от Мастера..!
Perfect job!!! Its so awsome! Thanks Tely 🤙🏼
Love the details of the handle... well done sir 👍
Beautiful! I've been to your city, nice place when I was there!
Wonderful work!

Yes I do.
You sir are a beast. What an incredible restoration.
A masterpiece ! Grettings from Peru.
Beautiful piece of useful art.
Wow what a beautiful handle. You gave new life to an old cleaver 👍
It's a totally new cleaver and the handle is a masterpiece. Wonderful job..
I am sitting here in awe. Utterly well done.
Thank you for saving old blade.
This is the first video I have watched of your channel, and I am already amazed.
You will like the other ones too.
Outstanding...craftsmanship.
I admire you careful work and the fact you pay attention to safety, with the mask and vacuum cleaner.
Man, you make my favorite looking handles ever. Would love to have a piece one day
