I love Now I’m Here the Wembley one is fantastic ❤️❤️ I also love it in the medley with Dragon Attack from Montreal ❤️Sheer Heart Attack is one of my very favourite Queen songs love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
One of my favorites song of Queen, and one of my favorites performs, Modern Times Rock 'n roll Live at the rainbow MARCH 1974, The performance of March, no November
Love Freddie in vicious mood. It didn’t happen often on stage but now and again he let fly! I find it funny. He must have been a strong bugger. He had a run-in with Sid Vicious that didn’t end well for Sid! Thank you for re-uploading this because I didn’t know of you in the NE Vault times.
Oh yes, my friend, in this one Freddie was on 🔥, totally on fire! Wild Freddie, ferocious Freddie, wicked Freddie, hot Freddie 🤩😂😜 Love the reaction, David, great as always 🤩
Yep - ha, reminds me of 1964 version of "Bedazzled" with Peter cook & Dudley Moore -- where Dudley Moore is reaching for words.. and says "I just feel so... aaah" and Peter Cook (playing the Devil) says "inarticulate?" Dudley says "Yes" - and the Devil continues with "...and you'd like to be the sort of man who can USE words like 'inarticulate'?" lol
Fun reaction! Queen songs are so varied. (this is a Roger song & man, can you tell or what!). I believe it was Brian who said that Roger always kept up with what was currently trending in music.
It was Freddie calling him Simon (Sid's real name) Ferocious that got Sid going. Freddie, who was a good 6" shorter than Sid simply grabbed him by his shirt and shoved him out of the studio. 🤣
this song was written by roger for the sheer heart attack album in 74 but never finished, so it has nothing to do with mr ferocious who they met in the studio in 77 while recording news of the world 👑✊🇬🇧
Freddy interpreting this song on that occasion was surely making fun of Punk / Sid Vicious (aka Simon Ferocious whom Freddie took by the lapels to throw him out of the studio). Freddie boxed and as we know was in superb physical condition. He took no s..t from anybody and neither he nor Roger suffered fools gladly (Roger called him an idiot). Freddie pulled a similar stunt at Live Aid (and previously) when he took his guitar pretending to smash it but then handed it over carefully to his assistant. I think he was making fun of the stage wreckers/rock 'n rollers of yesteryear. He was a non-violent person and ever so gentle. I really think that his mock violence can only be interpreted thus. Love your love of Freddie and Queen. Although I'm Freddie's age I've only become a passionate (nay obsessive) fan since the film (god only knows how they escaped my full attention and devotion throughout my life). So I relate to your exuberant adoration. I seem to have exhausted CZcams interviews and live performances. You not only bring some 'new' material to my attention, like Dead on Time, but your comments are spot on and show insight and research. I haven't really listened to the LP originals yet - a pleasure I'm saving for later. I just love Freddie and Queen live. Keep up the good work!
Incendiary show - I was there and thought, ‘what’s he doing with that monitor?’ One of their best shows ever and thank God they filmed unlike Leeds in ‘82... Milton Keynes Bowl is great too. The gigs I saw them do were off the scale but a tiny fraction filmed. On the ANATO there was carnage around the country - seats ripped out, etc. They were wild gigs. The Crazy Tour in ‘79 was a fucking great tour.
“READY FREDDIE” 🤪 This is Freddie hot wired for this performance! This is only my opinion but I think Freddie acts punk-ish on purpose as a sarcastic nod to Sid Vicious & the Punk scene. I saw another live version of Sheer Heart Attack where Freddie goes crazy (again) & if you look closely you can see Brian trying to unplug the Red Special before Freddie goes “ape s##t. And if anyone remembers Sheer Heart Attack in Montreal Freddie is wearing his short shorties, red bandana, & baseball cap. Then he goes crazy & starts biting Brian’s guitar strings (there’s a term for it called Guitar BJ). Hmmmm don’t ask. But anyway, it just seems to me it’s just Freddie making sure we get the punk point!! And we love it ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Bowie actually started that with his lead guitarist Mick Ronson in '72, a tad earlier in the U.K. The music press christened it "BJ on G string." I saw Bowie do it every time I saw him as long as Mick was still with him. Saw Queen perform this song 2x but don't remember Freddie going as ape shit as this or the other videos on CZcams. That said, we were all high as kites at concerts back then. It's amazing I remember as much as I do! But, we were also right up at the foot of the stage, so I guess enough of it sunk in to my brain to be retrieved later in life. I'm almost certain I'd remember Freddie doing a BJ on G string-- I certainly remember Bowie & Mick, every time. Mick was so awesome and such a good sport, with Bowie not just doing the guitar, but wrapping his arms around Mick and grabbing his ass with his hands. Mick was 100% hetero. RIP Freddie, David, and Mick.
@@michaelmalone3089 Thanks Michael! As Freddie said at Wembley, "My apologies but I say what I want." If it's history and really happened, why sugarcoat, much less censor, right?
A very welcome reupload! Loved watching it a second time. Still hoping for Bicycle Race. Or, how about a Brian song, sung by Brian: Leavin' Home Ain't Easy.
Have you seen the Brian and Roger commentary over the whole Montreal concert? It's in 4 parts but you could easily do 2 at a time? If you hit "playlist" they flow into each other with no stops. Anyway it's quite interesting getting their view MANY years later about themselves, Freddie and just behind the scenes stuff. I can link it if you're interested.
Best picture and sound quality is on the Montreal concert but Freddie's performance here is #1. I vaguely remember Freddie going to a hockey game when they were filming the Montreal concert. Can anyone confirm? My mind may be playing tricks but I'm sure I remember a picture of him at a Montreal Canadiens game. Roger started writing this song for the Sheer Heart Attack album which came out in 1974 so that would be punk before punk happened. Queen being innovative again. 👑
Oh this show is excellent. The death on 2 legs medley with killer queen and I’m in love with my car should be on your list. Several others, now I’m here, love of my life, somebody to love.

La canción ya estaba hecha desde el tercer disco de Queen que lleva el mismo nombre. Publicado en noviembre de 1974. Quedo afuera del álbum primero porque tenían ya 13 canciones y segundo les parecía muy "pesada" para ese entonces.
This is an insane performance by Freddie. I gotta wonder if he was under the influence of something or just naturally amped. No matter, it is a fun time. Were you thinking of Sid Vicious? He and Freddie got into it once when Vicious came into the studio Queen was recording in (both Queen and the Sex Pistols were recording next door to each other at the same studio). Great reaction yet again!!!
