I think this painting is worth more than the $40, but it's not Arthur Vidal Diehl. He signed his artwork on the left-hand side with his full name. Also, he died in 1929, the subject matter gives me vibes that are much later than that.
Yes that painting is too new and not his typical style anyway. So not this English painter but still a cool painting for Jocelyns home with the black panther
@@AnneLilley No, not always. I’ve seen examples of his signature on the right side as well. That said, this could also be Wolfram Diehl, in which case, the painting could actually be worth a little more than my first estimate. Either way, it was a phenomenal find at $40!

9:45 Whenever I find a vessel that looks like it should have had a lid or a stopper, I find an old cork to use as a replacement. It usually looks pretty good, and I’ve sold quite a few things that way. That should be our new mantra for 2023: “PUT A CORK IN IT” !! I had to laugh when you were talking about people that reach and grab things right in front of you. I was at the goodwill the other day and was comping something on the shelf and I was like right in front of it and standing close to the shelf and this person just reached right in front of me and grabbed it! LOL The anxiety is real!

I'm curious about why you are worried about shipping heavy items. If the item is good, the buyer WILL pay for whatever the shipping costs. I ship really heavy things to buyers all the time.

Joclyn, instead of trying to do a word search, do a google lens search....there's a microphone and a camera icon on the right side of the search line...your camera will load, take a picture of the item and google will fine that image or similar. I use it all the time. It's a life saver.
Pretty sure she knows this, however in my experience/opinion Google lens isn't always as defined as I personally want to look up.
@@azcatz-sue yes agree, I had a miniature animal figure once, tried to find possible manufacture, it was round and mostly white, Google gave me images of onions and garlic.😂😂😂
Google Lens is very hit or miss. I think it's AI is still learning and will get better over the next few years.

I'm often in the Lemoyne Goodwill and Antique Marketplace of Lemoyne because it's on the way home from my PT treatments in Mechanicsburg, and I keep on the lookout in case you show up, rehearsing whether I'll shout, "Crazy Lamp Lady!" or "Jocelyn!" should I have a CLL sighting. One time I asked a clerk at Antique Marketplace if she'd ever seen you, and she dejectedly said, "No... and I work here!" You really do have a following here in Central PA, let alone the rest of the world. We all love you!

I usually peel stickers if they are placed in a weird spot.
If there is a crack or chip they cover it with that price sticker. I found hidden chips twice doing this after I learned the hard way.
They need to stop doing this.

I'm commenting about the stand for your tree on the porch. Keep your eye out for a nice old pail, you have a lot of soil to fill it with for next Christmas, it will be sturdy for outside & stay upright in the winter with the wind.

I seriously would have bought it it was just such a pretty combination of colors and Vivid. I would have enjoyed it for a while and then passed it on to my girlfriend who collects peacocks she actually has the real ones too LOL I get peacock feathers occasionally!

I have 6 of the timer candles and found them all at Goodwill. See them at my Goodwill all the time. The bottom labeled "on, off and timer." I don't care for the remote kind at all. I have seen new at Walmart and drugstores as well. Maybe check Amazon. Good luck.
I think the bowl with the Caduceus and US is military medical dinnerware. The plates sell for about 25 each. Not sure on the bowls.
I had that same Corningware coffee pot removed from Etsy. They were recalled. I believe the top gets too hot and can pop off.

One of the thousands of things I love about you and Andrew as a couple, and business partners is that I have heard each of you say several times over the years, " Andrew would know that because...., or Joslyn knows more about that than I do, or whatever I don't know she knows, and whatever she doesn't know I do.

I can not swear to the turtle buddy … but in approx. 1969 my Daddy and I went on a dinner date 😜 our fave place. The man that left our booth told the waitress those napkins are for that little girl. Seat them here if they please. I have the bunny. And another I can only see in my memory as a rock. Lol. Did he become somebody big that could have taken me from middle class spoiled rotten to I’m 18 get out of my corvette mom… Daddy gets to go! I ran back and took a pic to see the signature. At 4:46 saucer with US and them symbol. I think that was a WWII from US Airforce. I have similar pieces my father brought home with him when they closed down the mess at his air base.

I bought a really cool piece of art glass. I sponged that puppy till the moon went blue from cold. When I got it home and removed the sticker there was a chip underneathe it. My friend liked it anyway but I will be checking now under every tag before I buy. there will always be more. You almost always put back what I would put back.
