    Tip for Extinguisher: You need to put some kind of nozzle that is very thin at the end of the tube where the paint comes out of the extinguisher to get a much stronger and high pressure output.

      Tip from engineer: if you reduce the whole nozzle and internal hose size you wont have such large pressure differences when initially pressing the valve.
      Also drill and tap a fitting into the wall or base of the can to pressurize with a shutoff valve after you drop the paint in from the top, turn upside down and fill with high pressure air.

    What you need to look for is "Class A water fire extinguisher". You're using a class B/C dry powder extinguisher. You be better off with a liquid/water based (class A) fire extinguisher designed to work with liquids. Find one that already has a schrader valve (the kind on a bicycle/car tire). Remove the schrader valve pin and fill the extinguisher through the hose (liquid will go in the hose as air comes out the schrader valve) then replace the schrader valve pin and pressurize the extinguisher using your pump. Will be much easier than what you are trying to do here.

    You definitely made it 1000x more difficult on yourself with those extinguishers. I had some as a kid that I played with all the time, that had a basic valve you could connect a bike pump to. No fighting against the pressure to hold the pump in place, and you didn’t have to squeeze the trigger while pumping.

    As a fire safety technician, my method of getting tough nozzles off is to use a good sturdy work bench and just slam the whole canister on its side with the handles hanging over the edge. Squeeze the two parts of the handle together and apply downward force with your dominant hand while beating the side of the extinguisher on top of a table. It might take two or three good whacks ( and it's loud ) but there's no tools needed and you shouldn't break the gauge off. Here in the U.S. they're supposed to be serviced every 6 years. I mainly do restaurant kitchen suppression systems but every once in a while I'll have to empty and refill a hundred of these things in a day. It sucks. *** What you should have bought is one that is meant to hold water and not that sodium bicarbonate powder or whatever. Also the hose threads into the top part so every company has its own adapter to screw into the head for re-pressurizing.....the things you have look like they were made to inflate pool toys or an air mattress. Some of the "Water cannon" type of extinguishers ( they're always chrome/ silver, not red ) will have a schrader valve so they're actually able to be pressurized with a bicycle pump. Hope that helps. For what it's worth: I'm a "writer" myself and I cant stand seeing this kind of shit 3 stories tall around my city. I think the trend has definitely died off, thankfully. Great tool if you wanna just vandalize a building for no good reason. I mainly use my big ass water cannons to own my nephews in squirt gun fights.

    Pro tips :
    1. while emptying the extinguisher flip it upside down so you let the gas go out and not making mess.
    2. to open the extinguisher lay it down and beside a curb or a stair and hold it then step on the handle hard and it'll open quickly kinda like he did at 05:02
    3. in the end of the tube (the housing) put something like the stuff that comes with hand pumps on the end of it to make it more better and less consuming.
    4. if your extinguisher has no valve like this one you can drill a small hole in the top of it and put a screwable shredder valve so it'll make it 99 times easier to fill.
    5. use darker colors so you get better results while spraying.
    6. if you put more paint than air the pressure will empty faster and the opposite is true .
    7. want to get the best extinguishers go to a parking lot.
    8. as Doke said don't try this but who cares it's fun asf.
    9. don't over fill it or u'll end up making a paint-nuclear bomb.
    10. don't die and keep up

  • @ltjon1924
    @ltjon1924 Před 11 měsíci +2

    You need to set it up with an adjustable nozzle. Should be much more out of that, and that's pretty much bigger thicker letters! You can do better! Also, you can probably filthy vessel up 150 psi. At your own very extreme potential risk. Just think logically about it, if max pressure is showing 90 to 100 PSI, the margin for safety is probably significantly higher then your standards pressure vessel the fact that it is specifically designed to be near Fires at extreme temperatures that would lower it's integrity.
