    Jessica, I love this one. And I want to add that in my opinion your videos are the best ones I have found that actually show the process, your verbiage is excellent and you have done enough homework to tell us the reasons why we should or should not do things a specific way. Your truly a professional and it shows. Thank you for all your hard work and presentation both in your work space and your always beautiful hair, make-up and clothes. It makes a difference. Hello, I am new to your channel, just subscribed. I am kind of new about 4 months new at making tumblers. A question, you did the blue 1st, then sprayed it brown and white, couldn't you do the woodgrain next, then start the removal process and maybe only have to touch up the woodgrain at the end? Instead of having to be super cautious around the edges like that. If that is a stupid question I apologies. It looks awesome though.

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  Pƙed 3 lety

      The ink would stain the blue Wigan you’re removing it if you did it in that order

  • @michellehenricksen5199

    Love this. Just wondering if the cracking happened after spraying the clear after you used the paint pen? It actually makes it look like bark in a way! Happy accident yay. Love your videos. Major inspiration

  • @sabrinavilla4928
    @sabrinavilla4928 Pƙed 3 lety +1

    Amazing like always. Quick question, the cracking is it because of the paint? I spray painted a piece then added more paint and it cracked. Not sure why? Can you help by explaining? I am still new to this

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  Pƙed 3 lety

      I’m not sure why my inks cracked on this. Usually they don’t. I thought maybe because there was some solvent residue left from the paint removal process that reacted with the inks

  • @trinadeyapp3338
    @trinadeyapp3338 Pƙed 3 lety +1

    Could you do the next step and apply the alcohol inks and then remove with acetone and 91% ?

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  Pƙed 3 lety

      No because the inks would stain the blue part when you’re removing them

  • @chrishebert3240
    @chrishebert3240 Pƙed 3 lety +1

    Love this cup. I’ll have to give this a try! I just want to know if it’s ok to do my epoxy inside my home? I have been doing everything in my garage but we have moved to a house that’s close to the bay. The problem I’ve been having is when I do my epoxy and shortly after it starts drying I start seeing dimples all over my cup so I do my epoxy in my house. Didn’t know if that is a bad thing or not.

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  Pƙed 3 lety +1

      I’d you have to do it in your house you’ll want to get a VOC filtering air purifier, good ventilation (window with a fan) and try to keep it sealed off from the rest of the house. Long term exposure in your home isn’t healthy

    • @chrishebert3240
      @chrishebert3240 Pƙed 3 lety

      @@FlynnSistersBoutique the reason I do it in my home is because when I do them in my garage it leaves dimples in the epoxy. I’m in south Texas and don’t know if it’s the humidity of something else!

  • @jenmaxslp
    @jenmaxslp Pƙed 3 lety +2

    Beautiful! Apologize if this was mentioned and I missed it, but on the darker areas it almost looks crackled. How did you achieve that?

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  Pƙed 3 lety

      Yes! It did crack before the sealer and I’m not sure why 😓 I think there was some reaction from all the alcohol on the surface or my paint from the paint removal process but I’m not sure because it only happened on this one 😝

    • @ErikaMoore85

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  Pƙed 3 lety +1

      The alcohol ink stains the epoxy even through the layers of spray paint so you definitely want to woodgrain after exposing your glitter.

    • @haleyleal23
      @haleyleal23 Pƙed 3 lety

      Yes I can attest to that, do not do your woodgrain before! I did something similar with geode woodgrain with glitter showing through and tried doing the woodgrain before and it was a mess. I messed up my woodgrain and everything. Definitely do it after lol 😅

  • @teresaharper3809
    @teresaharper3809 Pƙed 3 lety
