I see stuff like this and I always wonder where all of these people are today. This generation didn’t get the credit they deserved for serving our country. Thank them and shake their hands when you see them.

John Laurence's reporting during the war was amazing to watch as a child in the USA.
He, Dan Rather and Ken Kashiwahara reported first hand among the fighting.
Soldiers telling the truth of war.
    RIP All

Watching this is probably the closest we'll ever get to experiencing what it was like to actually be there. Whatever your opinion on the war these were/are brave men, it must have been terrifying.

best documentary I have seen with actual combat footage of the front line troops. It puts the viewer on the ground with the grunts. It is sobering as hell to say the least.

Can you believe the lives lost taking that hill twice a dam shame lives lost for what that's why politicians should never have a hand or say so in any battle when it comes to a decision where veterans like me are involved and too think most if not every single one had no experience in war and its easy for you armchair QB to criticized us thinking we lost the war when in fact we won most if not all of the battles only to have the people and politicians abandoned us and not welcome us home as heroes but as l don't know what America thought of us but I know if it was bad it's a shame

I really can’t imagine being drafted my dad’s best friend was drafted he was exposed to agent orange that caused birth defects in his kids......I joined the US Navy at 17 graduated high school and in 2 months I was off to boot camp, I wanted to be a sailor got to travel the world got to go to Mogadishu in the mid 90’s, I still can’t see forcing people to go into the military and then all the shit they dealt with coming back spat on called baby killers by those who believe infanticide is my body my choice.....

At the age of 18, I was told I was personally responsible for my actions. Ho Chi Mien didn't make these guys go to Vietnam. They chose to go there. Mohamed Ali made a decision as well. Taking away the accountability of these grown ups does a disservice them. Glorifying their wrong action does a disservice to humanity. Exactly zero good things came out of the US war in Vietnam. Pretending otherwise is a dangerous delusion.
