Have you tried the make up by Mario bronzer, that's the skin enhancer one, it's kind of sheer ish buildable.
I'm trying to find a pink or Rose toned bronzer, & I'm trying to find a good purple palette since the ultraviolet seems done and gone.. I really liked how it had some true purples

Tbh the new Forever Mood perfumes gave the exact same vibe to me: "We bought a midrange bottle from a supplier and did the graphic design in canva". And I like and respect Jackie! But they screamed more 2013 indie brand than luxury. I understand the difference in the access to resources but I'm personally really tired of giving smaller brands a pass when there are so many professional designers begging companies to respect and use their work.

I used to work at Sephora. That is colorful for the typical Sephora customer. I rarely ever sold anything that fits our definition of color. I rarely had customers looking for eye shadow in general. Maybe it was my market but that was my experience.
I think Marilyn Monroe would do a collaboration with Pat McGrath labs. They'd make the most beautiful ruby red lipstick with a smokey quad. Ugh that would be stunning 😍
I like the rainbow perfume bottles; it’s the odd little triangle gnome hats on top that look so strange. If they had an emerald cut rectangular cap to play up the jewel tones aspect, it would have looked so much more elegant - more in line with the CT glam- and still fun.

I still use my Winnie the Pooh lip mask and it's just fine! I absolutely love Colourpop lip masks. I can tell you the hype was not around this collection because I just bought it this morning and everything was available.
Right i thought about it for a day and then did pick up the palette. I was surprised that everything was still there. The palette colors look so nice to me i love their matte with the shimmer
I actually like the look of the Charlotte Tilbury perfumes. I don’t know what they smell like but I do think the bottles are pretty, especially for somebody like me that keeps pretty bottles and puts them on display in my room and stuff. However my decor style is like Boho-chic, colorful & artsy with mosaic lanterns and fun throw pillows & rugs so these bottles are right up my alley. I love you though and your eyeshadow looks lovely. 🙏🥰
I agree! I think they’re beautiful. Charlotte Tilbury wasn’t the first brand I thought of when I saw them, which is prob why I like them. I’m not a big CT fan. The rest of her packaging is just blah.

I just saw an ad and thought of Angie. A perfume brand I never heard NONOSES ink releases 2 fragrances: "Soda snob" (SMELLS LIKE: FIZZY LIME • CINNAMON • SECRET COLA ACCORD • JASMINE • CARAMEL • VANILLA) and "Slice society" (SMELLS LIKE: BLACK CURRANT • BASIL • TOMATO SAUCE ACCORD • IRIS • CRUST ACCORD • SANDALWOOD). Apparently they're inspired by soda and pizza😂
I have worked at Sephora for about 2 years. What I have seen is more like an overhaul. They discontinue things that start to look tired and it seems to me reintroduce similar products with update formulae and packaging. The liquid eye shadows are a great example. We had them when I started, in shimmery neutrals, plus 2 purples and those got discontinued recently to make way for these. I have noticed that trend. They got rid of the baked highlighter palettes and brought out those singes that everyone loves now. They still keep a pretty full line of makeup, but it gets updated.

I'm actually excited for the new Sephora single eyeshadows - their packaging is magnetic, so it's really easy to pop them in and out to add to your singles or take for travel! I'm happy to see some new shades. 👍🏻
I have always been skeptical regarding aromatherapy as a person who is highly reactive & sensitive to fragrances & incense (it usually triggers migraines & asthma attacks, not very calming) BUT there have been studies on the connection between scent & memory & how scents can effect mood. It's kind of interesting. I have read repeatedly that if you want to sell your house quickly, the scent of freshly baked bread can influence people to feel more positive about your home. Lavender is reportedly calming & put in many products that claim to help sleep, especially in babies & children. Supposedly men really like vanilla. I know my husband prefers vanilla scents over anything fresh, citrus, floral, musky or spicy.
There is also a psychology to color that is interesting but personally I find that symbolic meanings of colors change from culture to culture (True Blue, White Purity, Black Death, Passion Red in the west) I don't accept it as a universal psychological principle, it's more a cultural construct. Asian cultures view white, black & red very differently. Most of the crystal/gemstone & color therapies are derived from the idea of chakras which corresponds to the rainbow-red, orange yellow, green, blue & indigo or violet. If certain colors & smells make you feel happier then go for it. But be skeptical about any scientific claims.
I incorporate fragrance as an aid for anxiety in my therapy! I find that it works well for me. But it's not a replacement for medication or long-term therapy, not at all. (Vanilla and lavender scents are my favourite, so calming)

When I saw the Colourpop x Beauty and the Beast Collection I was instantly obsessed. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite and I tend to want everything Beauty and the Beast related. I didn't grab everything but I was able to get most of it and I can't wait for it to come in the mail. I would love to see you do a multiple looks with one palette video using the eyeshadow palette that comes in this collection.

I think the blend bunny palette makes sense because many people discovered the brand after the original rainbow blends palette came out and maybe didn't want to buy the palette as it was no longer new OR don't like the idea of an all matte palette... Also they'll hopefully be a lot of people that discover blend bunny through this collab. So yeah, kinda makes sense to me! The row in the middle looks interesting - especially as blend bunny seems to have evolved their sparkly shades since they started doing them 🧐
I agree here that it makes sense. I didn't know about Blend Bunny until a couple of years ago. And just actually bought the Blends palette last year for my birthday after researching rainbow palettes because I didn't have any yet. I'm going to pass for now, but I wish to try the shimmers.

I actually like the Beauty & The Beast collection but I don’t get why Colourpop offers bundles that aren’t discounted. If I buy the individual items, I can use a coupon but if I buy the bundles I don’t save anything - it actually costs more because of taxes.

We're always being bombarded with new releases but I would love to hear what tricks people do with their products to make them more multi-use so they don't have to buy something new. For me, I have been wanting to buy blurred liquid lipsticks for the longest time, ever since MAC released their blurred lipsticks because that's the only one I have easily available to me. Given that they are really expensive, I have been taking a small amount of liquid lipstick and just patting it onto my lips and it gives the same effect. This method also motivates me to use my liquid lipsticks more because I love the matt effect of liquid lipsticks but hate how pigmented they go on. It just doesn't look right to me on my lips. It's also tricky to get a crisp line without a lip liner because there is so much pigment.

I bought the NYX butter bronzer and limited edition brush. First attempt I was like omg.. clown face. I didn't pick it up again until I read the comments for the release of the butter blushes. Everyone was saying "if this is as good as the bronzers I'm in". Super excited. So I thought ok, let me try again. I used a different brush, way less dense, litter bigger then an eye fluffy blending brush and I have to say its stunning. I use the small brush to apply and my normal big face brush to blend. It works great over cream products. I use Milani cream bronzer, Malani cream blush then NYX butter bronzer. A little goes a long way and I feel it adds just a touch to the milani bronzer. The limited ed brush is a no go but I suggest trying the bronzer again. ❤
I love blend bunny and I love a rainbow palette. I need to use up my primal palette from them before I get a new rainbow palette.
I'm sad I missed Primal for the various tones and those shimmer shades.. I didn't know about the brand until a couple years ago and take a long time to decide. I went for the Blends palette first last spring. And I actually hit pan on my first shade today.
So I'm like you, let me use up the rainbow palette I own first.

Yes Sephoras brand does seem to be a revolving door. I wanted to buy the baked powder I ran out of a few months ago and realized it was discontinued. Then last week I was going to purchase a certain shade of lipstick to once again find out it was discontinued. I starting noticing this about a year or so ago and decided not to get attached to anything of theirs 🤣.
I really love the new GLOW concealer from Sephora collection! I think you would too it’s sooooo moisturizing plump no setting powder no creasing it’s incredible! No cracky wrinkly under eyes

I got a chance to try the new REM glosses early and they’re fab! A lot of the post-morphe releases from them have been much better. The bronzer is nice as well. Also just saw the About face multichromes and they’re gorgeous, they’re late to the party 😂but gorgeous none the less
