Incroyable, vertigineux...les mots manquent. L'immensité nous fait perdre toute notion des grandeurs. Un moment inoubliable! Pour rappel, le Grand Canyon est un canyon des États-Unis situé dans le Nord-Ouest de l'Arizona. La gorge a été creusée par le fleuve Colorado dans le plateau du même nom. Le grand canyon a été reconnu au patrimoine mondial de l’Humanité par l’UNESCO en 1979 et on comprend pourquoi quand on survol ce paysage extraordinaire!!! Le Grand Canyon offre l'un des plus grands spectacles géologiques permanents de la planète.
Son étendue est impressionnante et le témoignage qu'il révèle sur l'histoire de la Terre a une valeur inestimable. La gorge d'une profondeur de 1,8 km et 25 km de large. Elle serpente sur 320 km de long et ses sinuosités résultent de six millions d'années d'activité géologique et d'érosion causée par les eaux du Colorado sur la croûte terrestre soulevée. Le Grand Canyon retrace 2 milliards d'années d'histoire!

As a reminder, Grand Canyon is a canyon of the United States situated in the Northwest of Arizona. The throat was dug by the river Colorado in the tray of the same name. The Grand Canyon was recognized by the world heritage of the Humanity by the UNESCO in 1979 and we understand why when one flying this extraordinary landscape!!!

Merci beaucoup! Oui, c'est un de mes plus beaux souvenirs de voyages car le Grand Canyon de part sa démesure nous fait perdre toute notion de grandeurs. C'est totalement incroyable! C'est un budget mais c'est vraiment à faire à mon sens quand on va visiter l'Ouest Américain! :-)
