RARE aircraft! A-26 INVADER visits RAF Fairford before TRANSATLANTIC CROSSING! 🇺🇸

A stroke of luck allowed me to round off the Sywell antics by catching an aircraft that had been schedule to appear at the warbirds airshow last weekend but sadly couldn’t!
Visiting from the Vietnam War Flight Museum in Houston Texas, and after participating in the D-Day 80th anniversary commemorations in Normandy, sadly various factors prevented the gorgeous '41-39359' A-26 Invader N26BP ‘Miss Million Airess’ making it to Sywell last weekend, and it arrived in the UK on Monday, but today ahead of its return to the States, this rare aircraft make a short transit from Duxford to RAF Fairford, arriving just after 10am and departing mid afternoon.
This aircraft actually saw action in the Battle of the Bulge, so a significant machine to see during its fleeting visit! | 27.06.2024
