People lack the ability to recognize just how complex Lana’s songs are vocally and melodically. Nobody writes a melody the way she does because they’re tailored so specifically to her voice and the emotion she’s capable of conveying through it. It takes a level of true emotional intelligence and connection to that emotion to give a convincing performance of Lana’s music. All these contestants rock but none can do it justice. It’s just too hard.
Yeah. I like when people cover my favorites and stuff. Give it a new sound. It's how you do it and flow with it. Make it your own. Theres a good multi-cover album by Tokyo Police Club. Songs, 10 Years, 10 Days. A few cover songs on All-Time Quarterback(Ben Gibbard), really song from it. "Why I Cry" completely took it in a different direction from original. Then theres D.D by The Weeknd. That was peak Abel. But yeah... Ben Gibbard is a good guy to check out for his covers. He was actually doing cover requests on his youtube/stream during the 'cough' lock down. 2020.

All these singers have really great voices, they sing well but yknow nothing can bring justice to Lana's song other than lana herself.
There are some songs, people cover and sounds even better than the original. I've never heard a rendition of her song that sounds really really good or better than hers. She's the one and only!!

Singing not only envolves hitting high notes and clearly the judges only choose people that hits the high notes, singing is not only those though

I really can't understand how some singers are able to sing a sad song as "Young and Beautiful" smiling... Man, the lyrics are describing a woman who fears to be abandoned by her man as she gets old. With few exceptions, Lana's songs are to be sung if someone is about to cut his/her wrists with a knife. Only Lana del Rey understands the deep feeling of sad and difuse depression of 21st century.

Agree , they way she belt every note from low to high and her voice control while playing piano was amazing, however at "kiss me before you go " part she did a mistake but overall it was good , however in one of the battles , the transgender ( sorry i am not being rude i just don't remember her part in video and her name as well ) did excellent job
