  • After having this Z32 chassis for a few years now and it overall being 30 years old, things tend to fail and need replacing. Well this nissan 300zx needed its Rear subframe bushings swapped out. So I ordered some energy suspension bushings to complete the job! This how to video is simply for the people what wrench on their cars alone and with minimal tools.

Probably the best subframe bushing removal and replacement video I've seen! Great content buddy. Thanks for taking the extra time to make sure everyone can see what you are doing. I'm currently knee deep in a clutch replacement +++ it's been a great having your video to help me walk through the whole process. Keep it up!

Let us know if you like the polys once you get some seat time. Just put some Z1 solid bushings and haven't had a chance to test them out yet. They were a pain in the ass to install.

I hated replacing the bushings for the differential. I didn’t want to drop the subframe so I ended up pressing it out by finding something like a socket of the same size and pushed it out by ratcheting the shit out of it. I put one wrench to hold it in place, and used another wrench to press it out. And then I burned the rubber off the bushings lol.

If you feel like speeding up the prices if you get a 15$ set of drill bits and drill out the rubber it takes about 3 minutes instead of burning them out much quicker!

Youre NOT supposed to take the sleeves out on energy suspension bushings. You reuse them and push the new rubber into those sleeves. You burn them out and reuse the sleeves

Haven't had an issue yet, and still needed to use a rubber mallet to press them in

Made a huge difference on my z, but I'm not happy with the energy suspension diff bushings. I think it made my diff sit at an angle so when I put the bolt back in on the diff brace it stripped that nut that's inside the subframe. I did end up getting a new subframe that had good bushings for the diff but when I replace them I will use whiteline

Nice z bro you're getting better work on Z32 by yourself. I'm also polishing my skills. Thanks for sharing using petroleum jelly. also works great to bleed the brakes. when doing it yourself when using a vacuum pump. Wish we can chill one day I know you're from Massachusetts and I'm from New York we're not that far away maybe we can meet up in the middle somewhere in Connecticut. Do you have a Instagram?
