Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a novel by Mark Twain, first published in the United Kingdom in December 1884 and in the United States in February 1885
This has got to be one of the best audiobooks and narrators over ever listened to. Mark Twain had such a good writing style to capture the exact moment with clarity and humor. I laughed so much listening to this.
The main advantage of having a long commute to class is that I can listen to these audiobooks and do my reading homework on the drive to class. This helps me out so much!
My Grandpa got me this audiobook for my birthday when I was a kid, he’s passed on now but no piece of audio literature has as much sentimental value to me as this audiobook
Twain had such a great ability to capture the language of casual conversation. It’s fundamentally very complex while appearing to be so simple and natural. Not easy to do that for most writers. Every line is pure poetry. Thanks for posting this. Good narration too.
this helped me speed through huck finn in the two weeks our prof scheduled us to read it. as someone learning to read faster, this was so insanely useful!!!
I have always loved this adventure. Great human spirit and friendship displayed in a geniously concocted format!!! Thank you and God bless you Samuel Clemens.
Thank goodness this is not a Librivox recording! I love the project, but almost every narrator has a grating voice, and the disclaimers are difficult to ignore when so numerous.
2:08 LOL... Got a good chuckle about the guy who fell off the shot tower and he was so flattened, they just slid him edgeways between two barn doors to bury him.😄
Finn's father is a study in human psychology. He hated that his son was being lifted in the world and instead of desiring to raise himself as well, he wanted to bring his son back down. Interesting, isn't it?
This narration by Norman Dietz is the only one I like, I just love the voices he does and the way he reads. I haven’t found his version of Tom Sawyer on yt yet but hopefully soon. Thanks for posting and to whoever reads this, enjoy! :3
That Shakespear's Soliloque produced by duke sounded like a word salad spoken by some of the modern politicians, who have no respect for their audience's intelligence 😆
Tom was a bit of a spoiled boy, with time to indulge in fantasy. Huck never had no spoiling, nor luxury of domestic security... Except when it was too late for him to have that kind of childhood. Good boys both of 'em. ;)
I'm 63 and lord this book brings back childhood memories. When things were so simple and people could talk about history and being PC was a term that didn't exist. What a mess this world has become. Now you can't even read Jungle Book to your grandkids without catching hell.
@@ChillingTales12 seems a bit disrespectful. Cutter shared, of course it was his experience, whose else? But look at movies, books of 60 years ago; we were more easy and accepting, even polite with each other.

Agreed! His name is Norman Dietz he has many audio books including the adventures of Tom Sawyer, but I have yet to find his narration on CZcams.

Complex for those who weren't raised around grandparents/ family from the rural south.
