Player:Heroes Of Xanadu - There are six stages for you to perform your various killing tactics, like some NES games, the stages eventually get hard.Your jeep is equipped with normal standard ammunition, and grenades or rockets, and both players can choose to squash the walking enemy soldiers with their Jeep.

Jackal ( Tokushu Butai Jakkaru?, "Special Forces Jackal"), released in North America for the arcades as Top Gunner, is an overhead run and gun arcade game released by Konami in 1986.The Jackal squad, a four-man team composed of Colonel Decker, Lieutenant Bob, Sergeant Quint and Corporal Grey, is sent to rescue soldiers kept as hostages by the enemy. One or two players control the teams in an armed jeep, which must venture through several enemy strongholds to rescue comrades. In each of the six levels, the goal is to rescue POWs from various buildings and then transfer them to helicopter dust-off

locations. Once the soldiers are secure, the player(s) must then proceed to defeat the boss at the end of each level. In the last level, there are two bosses that must be defeated. As with most run and gun games, there is a point system that can grant the player extra lives depending on the score attained. If a collision occurs with an enemy or the jeep is hit by an enemy bullet, a life will be lost. Some buildings contain one flashing prisoner; if this man is rescued, the jeep's primary weapon will be upgraded. In addition, if enough prisoners are rescued, a weapon upgrade will be yielded during the unloading process

to the rescue helicopter. The Jeep's initial weapons consist of a machine gun and a grenade launcher. The grenade launcher can be upgraded into a rocket launcher, which can be further upgraded to shoot long-range missiles, and two kinds of spread missiles, one more powerful then the other. The original Japanese version (Tokushu Butai Jackal), the world version (simply titled Jackal), and the North American version (Top Gunner). In the Japanese version, the machine gun shoots in whatever direction the player's jeep is facing, whereas in the worldwide and North American versions, it is fixed so that it always shoots

north. In the North American versions, the generic orange and blue flags on the players' jeeps are replaced by an American flag on each one.The final boss is equip with two cannons. In Japan, a Family Computer Disk System version was produced titled Final Command: Aka( Final Command: The Red Fortress), which was released on May 2, 1988. A cartridge conversion for the Nintendo Entertainment System was released under the Jackal title on September 1988 in North America. The NES version has a number of changes made when compared to the famicom System version released before in Japan.

When me and my cousin finally finished the last stage everyone was clapping in a very crowded arcade place on a hot sweaty afternoon in the late 80's in the philippines. I was between 11-12 y.o.
It was the first time someone finished this game, the arcade place has had this game for a few years, and finally someone finished it.
What a nice ending, men in jeep smoking cigars.
After that came Sega Megadrive and game graphics got better, but famicom games are always nostalgic to see.
That's a great memory!
After the ending screen the game continues from Stage 2 on a higher difficulty (bombers throw bombs, etc.) - has anyone finished it 2, 3, 4 times in a row? Konami games almost always have extended ending sequences in this case.
Meron n pla neto sa 80s.satin,,,,naenjol lng ata namin to 2007

Wow! I actually remember you.
Finally after 20 years later i see the ending
20 years? longer then that for me...i made it to the final boss but died.
Totally! We played this game religiously and never made it to the end back in the late 80's! Man this is something else!
I managed to beat it back in the days. But i cannot understand English, so now i can't watch and finally learn the intro and ending.
Same mind
Me too. Hahah
There’s my childhood right there in a 30 minute video. Best game ever
Man, when I was little, I never realized how detailed this game is for an 8-Bit.
Konami did good work. Just look at TMNT!
Konami is the best game in family computer
@@JedJarin I agree
Will play it now
yeah with considering game size was so small
in just kilobyte you'll get 5-7 hrs gameplay
& even more if game is rpg
Who watching this game in 2024😂
U ain't pc ur pc but chicken nugget

@@Mayhew1417Game Tendo Jadul !
Watching this brought back so many memories. My older brother and I would play and finish it every time. I remember he brought some friends over and placed a bet that I could finish it alone in a single playthrough. Easiest $20 I ever made, I thought I was rich 🤣
Thanks for the memories. Seriously.
Que recuerdos tan pokamadre, cuando te mandaban a las tortillas y te quedabas las horas jugando y iban por ti de las puras pinches greñas con todo y las tortillas bien frías jaja jaja
my fav game btw who's here the 80s and 90s Kiddos

One of the most underrated NES games.
+Ztech Jackal definitively make my *Top-50 List* for the system !
One of the best... I used to play sometimes even to this day
Btw this is the one of best nes game
what? Underrated? Are you sick bruh?
One of the best nes game
Me and my Brother beat this game back in Dec 28, 2010.
We had a dvd player where we can play nes games
Night is getting deep and we decided to play it one more time before going to bed. It was our 2nd attempt on the final boss and i had max power ups while my bro got 1st lvl missile when we were both hit by the tank's fire attack. Luckily i still had 1 respawn and defeat the tank using granades which took about 3 more hits,.
Now Im 24 and he's 31
Oh the good old days.
Not gonna lie, a dvd player with an NES emulator sounds pretty cool
That's the day I was born
That DVD was very popular in Brazil
That's awesome, beating a good game with a good friend or family member will stay in your mind as long as you live. I beat Gears of War 3 on the hardest difficulty with a good friend after being stuck on the final boss, we beat the game 3 days before he died in a car wreck. That was the last interaction I had with him.....its not much consolation but at least we beat the game we were stuck on before he passed
I can still buy nes CD costs about $2 but sadly my family sold dvd player for scraps
I have the original NES cartridge for this game and still play it to this day. The first stage's music brings back so many memories. What a kick-ass game.
Blade of steel a good game but for me, jackal is so much better!
@@HeroesofXanaduSloth i love this game really wanna be soilder for my country
The Challenge in this game is awesome,The sound of the grenades and missiles makes you feel like the battle is actually in your house.
Wow!! This really brought back childhood memories. Staying up all night playing with bro trying to beat this game; our fingers were sore as hell pressing them controller buttons 😅
Sometimes you come across a player that is just thrilling to watch. It's like, I don't even feel impatient to take my turn playing this game because what you're doing is very instructive and masterful.
Nice comment, thank you very much! I been practicing, playing nes games since 1988 when my parents bought me my first nes system as a gift when i was just a little kid. I always been trying to improve my gaming ever since the day i start gaming. Such precious memories, i wish i could go back to the 80s and relive my childhood even if it would be only for one single day.
arguably one of the best soundtracks and sound effects on an nes game
Let not forget contra...

You sure do know how to dodge enemy fire! Ah man! That alarm sound when a boss is introduced... So much memories and BLOOD BOILING!! :D

This was the first video game I ever beat. It was 1990, and my whole family was watching me play. Everyone went nuts when we saw the giant tank at the end.
one of my favorite nes game,
definatetly in my top-10,
thanks uploader for playing this game, you took me back into time.
this low-graphic game can beat many android games of today on any given day, and this size of the package would be under 100kb or so.
they had to employ so much algorithm to a map to put many stripes and bits to construct different objects and props, just to save some space.
i personally believe that nes era (or cartidge era) was 'the most' creative era of all time
Thank you for uploading this! Brings back so many memories.
I forgot about this game for so long. Glad I found it again. Good run. Thanks for the upload.
Is it just me or does just hearing the backgroundmusic from this game automatically remind you of a better time in life. #Nostalgic
I remember playing this as a kid.... one of my favorite games. Loved this thing.
Once upon time, when KONAMI was still respectable...
When Konami dared to dream and won't stop believing
Fantastic music and sound effects as always from Konami games, Sakamoto & Fujio master the FamiTracker and did a awesome job with a classic game like Jackal.
Heroes of Xanadu - with some distortion it would be awesome
Heroes of Xanadu - Sloth - Why wasn't Jackal ever released as part of Konami's various compilations over the years across several platforms??
In addition, why hasn't Konami release the four player arcade, Crime Fighters to a home or handheld system????
Hello! What is Xanadu in ur profile name??
@@NYCJoeBlack Probable because of the homosexuals in the game you get to beat up. Not very "woke." 😁
Edward Gaines - Dude, just stop it! Lol! Stop trying to inject politics into something that has nothing to do with politics.
This was the 2nd game i've played after contra, it was such an amazing game with great music and sound effects, glad im a 90's kid, with modern kids ruining their life with smart phones, we some how lucky to play these games and enjoyed our small part of our lifetime....
This was an 80's game.
Sooo nostalgic, me and my little brother loved this game. We used to call it "car". I like stage 2 and 4 music
I called it "jeep game"

it was 1991 when played this game .... and i never beat that stupid tank , even with all 8 lives .. thanks for showing the ending 👍
same here,, i don't know how he did it
well i think having max power ups makes a diff.. even though he doesnt hit the last boss directly it still does aoe damage
I finished it too many times.
That tank at the very end was huge.
Yo tampoco
I have finished this game a couple of times with a childhood friend, what a memories.

My lovely childhood game 😍after a long year to listen this game 😍😍 thank you so much
this brigs tears to my eyes...beautiful memories
Awesome game... such good memories playing this one back in the day with my dad. Classic !!
Definitely one of the best classic NES games of all time. Jackal and Seicross are 2 NES ports that I prefer over the original arcade versions. A little more forgiving but still very challenging. Great video, thanks!
I 100% agree that Jackal on the NES is the superior version.
does seicross have an ending? i was thinking of playing it again but scared that it just goes on forever
This game is a legend. Thanks for playing it and sharing.
Nice playthrough! Brings back some nice nostalgia from times when things made more sense.
I remember playing & beating this fun game back in the 80s when I was kid. Fun times!
This, 1943: The Battle of Midway & Iron Tank were my favorites, as far as NES war genre games are concerned.
Thats awesome!!!
I played this when it first came out on Nintendo...fun times!
Chris Stark The golden age of the home system.
I loved this game. But never was able to finish it. Thanks for doing it for us.
I played this at my friend's house 28yrs ago and I've never found out what the name of the game was till now. Wow thanks.
Por Dios, hasta después de 15 años pude encontrar este juego, mi infancia revivida!!! Gracias
Awesome run through dude. I remember playing this when I was kid and I only ever made it to mission 3. Granted I was like 6 so I could probably do better now. Man imagine if they did a top down 3D jackal. With like all the explosions and stuff that would be cool.
This was a great game! I can never forget the music!
Brought back childhood memories. Wow!
This game had rly tight controlls, i loved it
Loved this game. My friends and I would play it all the time.

Sweet memories from year 1995 and one of the ten games I play through every 2 years or so.
I played this with my dad when i was young , totally my fav 😄
This was one of the great NES arcade conversions. One of those games that requires a great memory of the map layouts otherwise it can feel unfair at times (eg. guns shooting at your from offscreen). Super fun!
My favorite game back in the old times...always like the bgm!
one of my all time fav games fkn badass tnx for the momeries 👍🏻

My best friend and I use to play this hours!!! Childhood memories 🙌🏽
i woke up today and started looking at the videogame section on craigslist while still in bed. someone has this on there for sale, saw the cover and looked familiar. I was like "hmm, why does that game look so familiar?" So I youtubed it and brought me here. wow! right away it brought back memories. i used to love this game! how did I forget it?
I Fucking love the sound it makes when you pick up soldiers!!
One of my favorite childhood video games. I finished it many times after weeks of play. I watched this whole video because it took me back. The fact you never died was excellent. Only thing you could have done better was killing a couple more fly bys. But I understand you are busy dodging bombs and it's best not to die. Thank you for posting. Excellent 👍
One of my all time favorite games never could beat this one
Nostalgic moments with my father.
Playing this kind of games was so much fun with my father old times.
Finally, I played this game on PSP, I forgot what year it was bought and played it.however, I found this game again when there was an ad on any game in the play store. thanks bro. 😭🔥👍
Excellent playthrough.
Wow! Your awesome at this game!
I think it was mandatory for us 80's kids to play co-op on this. This was the VERY first game I ever rented for my then new NES back in 1987 that I got for Christmas. This game was immensely fun but it was very challenging-taught us to not give up but keep trying.
me and my cousin jerod played this dam game all the time and couldn't beat it. thanks for showing the ending
Agreed with the "underrated" comment, yet one of my all time fave NES games. Great run-through, too!
OHHH DUUUDEEE UTS BEEN ALMOST 20 YEARS I SAW THIS GAME AGAIN.......USED TO PLAY IT IN CHILDHOOD DAYS........WOOOWW DAMN THE GOOSEBUMPS

This was my first NES game that my mom buy me. I still remember the day she came in with the game. Pure nostalgia.....
I suddenly went back to childhood ... this game was underrated
love this music. awesome bosses too
My brothers had this. They are 12 and 14 years older than me (Atari and NES was them; I was more SNES and after). I remember playing this on their NES back in the day. Such memories. Came out in 88 so I was only about 5. I think they had it a few years after that.
I remember back in the days, when I made it to stage 2, it was an unbelievable achievement! This game was legendary
wow 30 year before a see the final of this game thanks fir the memories.
I remember playing this game with my mom and dad. I use to watch them play together for hours with this game
