GD is beyond his time, he is what we call a genuine artist. He did this look sometime ago and yet is still new.

Not to take away from him, but he took what asap rocky and Kanye west were doing in America and brought it to Asia. ASAP rocky and Kanye at the time were really bringing high end fashion and merging it with streetwear and hiphop. G-Dragon imo should be recognised for paying attention to American trends and what they were doing while bringing it over to Asia. And of course he added his own flair/style.

@@ehhhrl not really. Asap and Kanye found influence by European influence, which g dragon at the time was already incorporating that femme masculine style, as that style has always been popular in Asia/SEA
@@trcs3079 hm I'd still say he was definitely taking notes from them. I can't help but see similarities artistically and fashion wise. GD's whole swag didn't just come from the Europeans. It's entirely possible GD was keeping tabs on the trendiest hip hop artists of the time. Not far fetched to say especially when you put them side by side.
Just like GD himself say : "there's no right or wrong in fashion"

Being a Fashion Design/Style student, i can't take off my eyes from GD's red outfit. Also i loved the idea of wearing a turtle neck with the check sweater under a coat thing + the matching color of his googles and the handkerchief decor in the pocket 😍 so luve it.

What's amazing about him is how any outfit works for him. Like literally ppl could try to imitate one of his more experimental fits and it would look weird, even if you have good proportions. I guess he transforms and matches the feel of his outfit do it doesn't look weird?

I watched a video in 2017, 2018 react to GD and they said the shoes that he wore in the 2013 or 2014 video was a trend in that year but he'd already worn them like 4 year before.
