Adam, I am truly humbled for the mention in your video today and whilst our genres do differ in the most part, the common bond of photography is definitely the means of deriving that feeling of well being from where ever our respective journeys take us. Totally agree with your comments today, especially in relation to reducing exposure to toxicity as it can sap the life energy out of you, if you let it. I am looking forward to seeing you in person next month and hopefully we can get the opportunity to chat on the day and also very much welcome the opportunity to continue my learning experience by attending the printing event
I have just been devouring your website - a lot of very inspirational images and content. I sold my business and retired seven years ago and I do wonder about my professional working life legacy as it disappears.
@@photoquent thank you for your very kind words. Hopefully you made a positive impact in people's lives during your career and that in itself will contribute to your legacy
Love it when you make these kind of videos mate. You're words and enthusiasm are always so inspiring 😊😊
Excellent video Adam thanks for the pep talk!
There’s a real sense of everything coming together Adam, giving of knowledge and sharing. Jim has been a real inspiration to me, and supported me since the beginning, great to see you mention Jim. Bloody honour to see myself popping up in your videos. Smiling and remembering our time and looking forward to future adventures. Heart filled and ready to get out! Great video.
Cheers mate
The 5D MKIV is a wonderful camera! I have a 5D MKII. I am very interested in your future frame making video!
Thank you as always for your great quality content and honesty that we all need to hear sometimes.
So well said, Adam. Thank you for your positivity
A great video. I'm glad you haven't thrown it in - you're an interesting voice and a great photographer. Thank you!
Thank you kindly!
Hi Adam,
thank you so much for your inspiring videos - you are so refreshingly different from many other youtubers - please keep up the good work!
Thank you! Will do!
Some great advice, and IMO fitness is essential for general life style. I can still bench a 100kg, after 25 years of going to the gym I can do most physical activities well within my comfort zone. More people should join a gym and exercise for better body, fitness, stamina, and dare I say mental health !
I have been on many shoots were a lot people struggle kneeling down, or hiking to a view point especially in cols or heat !
Great watch as always
Gary
Thanks mate
Excellent video and great suggestions. Much appreciated.
My pleasure!
Great advice!! Thanks for the reminders.
You bet!
A fantastic video/tutorial. Thanks Adam,cheers.
Great point about getting fit. When I switched to mirrorless, I built a whole spreadsheet full of measurements on how much less weight I’d have to carry. This lens weighs X oz less than this one, etc. Didn’t take me long to realize all that nonsense would be swamped by just losing 5lbs off my gut. I’m 62 now and big adventures are getting harder but I want to keep doing them as long as my body will let me. I won’t, however, be hauling a printer up a hill anytime soon! 😀
Hi Adam: Thank you so much for creating and sharing this video. Your content continues to resonates with me as I continued to define and refine my photographic journey. Keep well. Cheers . . . Keith (Canada)
I find your comments in this episode very uplifting and useful today Adam. Especially at the end talking about all the negatives we are all bombarded with every single day. Being outside is the one time I can actually relax and be in the moment. I don’t get to do it much any more but when I do, it’s always an uplifting experience. Thank you for a wonderful video and great inspirations. The world needs more positive people like you.
Thanks so much. An uplifting comment to read
Always great to see your videos! Very motivational! Thanks for taking me along!
Beautiful message Adam.
I’ve said it once but I’ll say it again, your enthusiasm is contagious and helps me get through some shit times.
Thanks Darren.
Dragging the printer up the hills is an all time classic video! Thank you for your insight and entertainment!
Thanks David. Very kind
Nice one,
Great video, thanks for the inspiration!
Hi Adam, so true... So, so true.
Your advice is bang on.. thanks for sharing 🙏🏽😊
Wise words built on experience - so glad I watched your video Adam!
Inspiring video. Thanks.
My pleasure!
Here for the story and the encouragement and push up that hill. Thank you Adam.
Fantastic idea of making frames - so obvious and simple an idea and yet adds to the personal touch and delivery! Few are doing this and it can mean a lot of the viewer.
Yup. I guess because its a lot of hard work. I find it extremely relaxing......except when it starts to rain!!
Hi Adam! I really relate to the first point you made about your camera. In fact, recently I made my Dad laugh because I actually said I love my camera so much, I want to "Love it, and hug it, and call it George!" (I wonder if you get the reference? 😂😂 Recently though I've been able to acquire a new camera which I'm still forming a 'relationship' with! I've got the Nikon z5. I already love it. I've only had it a fortnight, but I am still at the stage where I'm getting used to it.
On the subject of photography literally saving your life, I'm actually in the process of writing a book with the exact same title: How Photography Has Saved My Life! I won't go into too much detail here but when the book's finished I can email you a copy if you like?
Happy to buy it when it's ready to go!!
Thanks again for pouring your heart out into this channel! Your messages are always so clear and always bang on. Some day I hope to head to your part of the world and hopefully bump into you on top of a hill somewhere!!!
Thanks Robert. I don't leave anything on the table
One of your best videos my friend it has been a joy watching you do these videos
Wow, thank you
The last few minutes of this vlog are brilliant 👍keep hope alive.
Thanks
great video . 😄
Thank you! 😃
Nice video- I enjoy finding out the etymology of words and it was interesting to hear about Tantalus and tantalizing... a bit of a gruesome story, but those ancient stories were often a bit over the top. I don't have as much time for photography as I would like, and I find it frustrating to finally get the time to go to a great location, have limited time, and the weather is a mess, or the crowds are intrusive, or the schedule for the trip is messed up - it's easy to lose interest when things don't work out. Still, I try to take my camera (Canon R5) where ever I travel and usually find something of interest.
Thanks Adam from Canada.
My pleasure!
as always, lots of sense being talked there Adam, but 'no one watches Countryfile?' Not sure about that one.
Hi Adam, I’ve seen you are doing some Canon printing talks in May, unfortunately I’m working on both days😔😔😔 will there be anymore days in the future please? As I’ve just bought a Pro 300 and would love to learn what to do, the right way!
The story telling behind the images is what AI won’t reach - for another decade! 😂😂
If someone says they are a “proper photographer” they are talking bollocks. There is no such thing.
Agreed
