One of the best things about this scene is the part where Hawk is doing presses and a fellow competitor is helping him. This movie showcases multiple examples of sportsmanship throughout.
Agreed. It was also nice that even though he was an antagonist, Bull Hurley showed class in defeat and held Hawk's arm up.
You can see the hurt and worry in hawks face when he sells his truck and enters the tournament because he misses and loves his son he could have lost his final match because he almost lost his confidence untill micheal showed up and told him he believed in him and loved him I love this movie so much ❤

Over The Top is a great father & son movie & I like that old Autocar semi that Sly drove in it & speakin of semis I miss the other kind "cabovers" which I don't see on the roads here in the USA anymore like I use to back in those days. Cabovers were easier to turn around corners & park in than conventional cabs.
On top of being way better than the version that was officially released, that one feels incomplete without the guitar solo at 3:12. The official version obviously feels like it was cut.
