Happy early birthday, bud! You know my gift card was about to expire, I had to do it early.
For my part I'll say this:
Serge Lutens (Pronounced Lou-Tawns) you are spot on. Definitely not for everyone, but I know that some of the more herbal scents like Gucci Guilty Cologne, which this doesn't smell like but had some of the same sensibilities. Again, definitely not for everyone, but when worn on a hot day you're going to stand out as unique and it's going to smell very natural. No one is going to be offended by it, but for a certain part of the population, you might just be the best thing they smell all day. Interestingly, Serge Lutens has a bunch of mass appealing scents, and scents like Chergui and Iris Silver Mist are legendary amongst fragheads, but this one is very under the radar and to the point where I don't think I've ever even seen someone do a full review on CZcams.
CH Pasión, to me, was perhaps the best designer release of last year. Paid full retail, and it was 100% worth it. And personally, I think Carolina Herrera has missed far more than they've hit, but this one restored my faith in them. As an iris fragrance, I'd say it's not the absolute best out there, but it's in the top tier. I'm a little surprised that you didn't get the bourbon vanilla and tonka bean, but you might need to let it settle first before you pick that up, so that might have been off camera.
Either way, hope you enjoyed them both and hopefully I've expanded your fragrance knowledge a bit!
