Much better clarity than before and nice to see a full run to and through rotation with initial climb-out...it seems effortless on a calm day. Your half-VW engine is running at half the rpm that my full (4 cylinder) VW's ran on the ground; tried to limit them to 5,800 rpm. Also ran a lot higher oil and cylinder head temperatures so you should be fine. Nice video.
Hi Frederick Woods alright great sir thank you for the feedback. Yes my 1/2 just buzzes along and climbs out great. It did start getting a little bumpy but I flew for awhile.....
Video stabilization works very well, a big improvement. Your voice is somewhat drowned out by the engine noise, but I can still hear you. You might try a remote mike, see if it can plug into the phone. Great video, enjoy your trip to Oshkosh.
Hi BernieSchuff5919 thank you sir for letting me know. The other phone had the stabilization to buy this one may be better.. Should be a good time at Oshkosh...thank you
I haven't seen a video yet on your flying UC to Oskosh. Did you video the trip. Could you tell us what it's like flying cross country? How far and how many miles and stops a day ect.? How high, and do you run full throttle on a long trip? Do you go into towered airport? If so, what call sign do you use? I would be interested, and I think others would be too. I enjoy all your videos. Thanks
Hi Randyjackola sorry sir I'm not flying to Oshkosh this year. But way back in my videos I did fly to Oshkosh. I don't think I did a lot of videos . It's a all day trip with good weather. I take off at the Crack of dawn and I get to Oshkosh around 6pm. No I do not go into towered airports. I make 4 to 5 stops on the way up. It's around 475miles . I carry a 1 gallon gas can full and a empty 5 gallon can. My first stop doesn't have a courtesy car so I put my 1 gallon can in and then top off with AV gas. The next airport has a courtesy car so I take my empty 1 gallon and 5 gallon cans with me and go get gas. I then put the full 1 gallon in the airplane. Then I take the full 5 gallon can and put it in my tank. What I have left in the 5 gallon can I put in the courtesy car. Then off to the next airport and repete the process. I hope I answered your questions.....
Thank you Dennis. I live in central north Carolina. About 3 hour's from the mountains or the ocean. I've pondered what it's like taking longer trips. Taking a gas can and extra gas crossed my mind. I have enjoyed and learned a lot from your videos. Building an UC is on my wish list, I recently retired. I appreciate what you do encourage this great little airplane.
Hi @randyjackola thank you sir! I hope you do get to build a UC and or get one and get to enjoy it. Yes going on some trips can be done with it as I have discussed. God bless you with your build...
Hi Freewayjonez. No sir I do not have to talk to anyone. But I am listening to my radio for traffic. Because there is an airport 9 miles north of us. Anymore there isn't any traffic at our airport like it used to be. But I still keep my eyes outside the cockpit for traffic.....thanks for the question
Hi Emberstordges6936 well sir this is the light weight canopy that I im trying out for Terry at Hummel. The top is ABS plastic and the sides are 1/16 Lexan......it is a bit lighter....
Thank you for sharing Dennis...it was an improvement...happy flying!
Hi CraigH3381 alright thank you sir!!! I'm so glad it was better. I hope I can get the other cameras figured out.....

Hey Dennis my family had other plans so I could not get out that far hopefully next time.
Hi Nannuartworks5812 well sir I'm guessing you are talking about Oshkosh? Well maybe next year...
Do you have to contact air traffic control before you take off or can you just take off whenever?
Hi Freewayjonez. No sir I do not have to talk to anyone. But I am listening to my radio for traffic. Because there is an airport 9 miles north of us. what's the deal with your canopy? it looks like it has aluminum on the top?
Hi Emberstordges6936 well sir this is the light weight canopy that I im trying out for Terry at Hummel. The top is ABS plastic and the sides are 1/16 Lexan......it is a bit lighter....
Can the public buy one? And is it light enough to make weight?
@hf7987 I do not know sir if they are still testing the light weight canopy
