  • What's Next For The St Louis Blues? 2024 Off Season-Plan
How will The St Louis Blues attempt at moving forward and making their team more competitive in 2024-25? How can they bounce back and move back into a playoffs spot after not making the 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. I examine the past season, team roster and determine their best plan to improve the team. We address NHL Trade Rumours regarding St Louis Blues trade rumours and how they should proceed on that. We analyze their 2024 NHL Prospects and deals they may try to make at the draft. They are in good shape with draft picks in the 2024 NHL Draft. We discuss the 2024 NHL Draft prospects they could select as well. There have been plenty of NHL Trade rumours 2024 regarding this team and I am sure there will be some changes. We address the St Louis Blues rumours and whether they stand a good chance at making some off-season moves. We discuss other NHL free agents 2024 that they could explore signing as well. We will see if any of the St Louis Blues trade talk will come to be or what direction this team will head in. In a market like St Louis Blues there will always be plenty of NHL trade talk when things aren't going well.

I agree wholeheartedly about the trade protection too many GMs hand it out freely and Army in particular it should be reserved for star players not every B tier player you kind of feel some loyalty to.

Not much the Blues can do about the D this year with all the NTCs. Big changes next year though. Binnington isn't being traded. Buch will probably be extended. The only big change will probably be Dvorsky at 2C at some point in the season.

I'm very torn with Jordan Kyrou. While I see his potential, it just seems he either loses focus or just plain doesn't put in the effort he should. He got booed by the fans one night and cried, and you could see it hurt him and he wanted to improve and in the short term he did. But later in the season there was a play in which Brendan Saad was coming off the bench and luckily the puck just happened to come right to him, springing him for a breakaway. And as he's approaching the goal , the defenseman is skating towards Saad, with Kyrou just gliding, not trying to impede the defenseman's approach on him. Luckily he was able to convert, but no thanks to Kyrous efforts.

  • @mattwebb8234

1/3rd of his goals were scored in three games. Think about that.

The blues are an absolute enigma to say the least. Without a doubt they were the most inconsistent team I’ve ever seen. Kyrous final numbers weren’t all that bad but he got Really hot at the end of a very poor season. He takes complete games off. He’s been called out by the media and the fans reacted to his unprofessional response when Berube was let go and rightly so. When Armstrong gave him the contract I questioned it then not ghat I’m
An nhl exec but he’s being paid superstar money and he hadn’t proved that he was that player. I’m convinced Armstrong dumped Berube because of kyrou and his contract. Armstrong’s looking really bad right now and if
Kyrou continues his really uninspiring play, I think it will cost Armstrong his job. Bannister was retained solely to get the man child to live up to his contract. Kyrou imo is the poster
Child for today’s spoiled athletes. They’ve never worked a day in their lives and their work ethic is poor at best. Another issue is that Armstrong continues to give poor contracts. The no tears he’s given have tied his hands considerably. If Armstrong is going to retool instead of rebuild he’d better get busy.

    • @ClaySTL
      @ClaySTL Před měsícem

That "response" was far from "unprofessional"
It was taken out of context because of how it was said (audibly)
Meaning he didn't change tone to indicate he was speaking in past tense
Just like for me I don't work at the Art Museum anymore and I say:
Not sure how I feel as that's not my job anymore
      Instead of saying:
I don't have an opinion anymore because I no longer work for them
If he added a lil more context he would've been fine
Yet also if ppl weren't so one size (fits all) minded they'd have already figured/understood that part

@@ClaySTL that’s your opinion and tire w titles to it. I’m not alone. Lost fans thought he was out of line. He got Bernie fired with his inconsistent okay. He’s paid huge amount a of money to be the offensive leader of the team and he wasn’t and that’s not debatable. He was called out for it on national media. If you’re in jyepus head and you understand his tone better than the rest of the world well good foentou but he’s got the most local fans in hockey on his back and I can’t think of any other blues player who’s been called out by the fans like

The elephant in the room in my opinion is Schenn! This guy gets zero criticism, I’ve seen him take off shifts , gets paid 6.5 million per season and also received a NTC but seems to be a player that never gets brought up! Fans want to dump on a young kid like Kyrou who’s only making 1.5 million more and has the ability to score 40+ goals ! Let the kid mature! Thomas had a whole year ahead of Kyrou I know were stuck with Scenn and I completely agree with your analysis of giving out these ridiculous NTC so freely and the team is now suffering for it.

He's forced to play center since we don't have anyone besides Thomas who is a decent center. Also, being captain probably is taking a toll on him. If we could get a true 2C and move Schenn to LW he would be better off.

Summed that up very well ,the main focus is the D.
guessing they will try to move Faulk this time and bring in a player like Brett pesce but it is all about the trade protection which doesn’t change till next year.
I think they may try and add a ufa Swiss Army knife player like chandler Stephenson to bolster the middle six.
Thought being not to block the prospect of Dalibor dvorsky making the team this year and Jimmy snug 25-26.
Whatever else they do need to recalibrate the D maybe even a buyout.
Because Armstrong can’t run with the same d again
