Form Rs 1500 + GST. Last date- 6th June.
B.TECH
- Should have born after 1/January/1996
- Should have scored 65% in PCM in 12th
- Should have scored 65% Overall Aggregate in Class XII
- In case of Diploma - Should have aggregate of 65%
- Should have obtained 60% marks in English in Class XII / Diploma
- Should have completed pre-sea training
Time- 3hrs exam 1 mark for each. 0.25 for negative marking;
*Testing Areas for knowledge: (100 questions)*
- Marine Engines.
- All Marine Auxiliary machinery.
- Machine design and drawing
- Basic Ship construction and Naval architecture.
- Fire Safety- Knowledge of basic firefighting equipment
- Materials and metallurgy
- Basic Electricity and Electronics.
- Basic Physics and Chemistry.
Other questions in knowledge area will be from approved syllabus of BE (Marine Eng.) / B.E (Mech.), as the case may be.
- Testing areas for Aptitude: (100 questions)
- Numerical Reasoning and Data Interpretation. (25 questions)
- Mechanical reasoning. (20 questions)
- Spatial and diagrammatic reasoning. (30 questions)
- Verbal Comprehension. (25 questions)
For Deck Cadets Exam Eligibility;
Should have born after 1/January/1998
Should have scored 65% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII
Should have scored 65% Overall Aggregate in Class XII
Should have obtained 60% marks in English in Class XII
Should have completed pre-sea training; or
Should be appearing in final semester exam of the course in Maritime Training Institute
For GP Rating Exam Eligibility
Should have born after 1/January/1997
Should have scored 50% in Class X
Should have completed pre-sea training; or
Should be appearing in final semester exam of the course in Maritime Training Institute

I guess earlier you could've but this time they have changed their eligibility criteria. But ofcourse if there's no cross checking then you can definitely try.
DNS is way better than Bsc and Btech
It depends on the person their backround and what they want in future. It's nothing like one is better then other. All serve some purpose that's why they are still being done.

There's no specific study material that will be enough for you. You have to study from collecting resources. Instead of collecting resources you should focus on gather knowledge about the topics from wherever possible.
