In the 1940's, Ford engines were typically painted the same dark green they had been using since the 20's, so your green isn't incorrect, the diecast model is, in 1949 Ford started painting their engines either black or red.
Dug into my old stash & found a Woody version of this car. Had to re-watch these videos to get some more ideas for it.
👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome thank you for sharing how on BMF . my hand was shaking when you was peeling it off lol. Have a great and blessed weekend.
Thanks Neamon!!👍🏻👍🏻
Now that you mention it , it does look like chocolate. She turned out Great!!!! Awesome Build!!!!
Thanks Michael!!
I started spraying my chrome with testors window tint..it tones it down and makes it not look so toyish.got that tip from Paul turly..but I'm 46 and I dont know anyone who builds..CZcams is a blessing
Great tip! Yeah I know what you mean. I don't know anyone who builds near me. Would be fun to have someone close by.
Where are you from Keith?
@@modelcarvideos5829 Where are you from Model Car Video? I'm subbed to you and also don't know your name......
Matthew, I'm from Nahunta ga
Toledo Ohio, home of jeep..

Thanks BK!!👍🏻👍🏻
Me acuerdo cuando era adolescente que tuve muchos modelos
Very cool build. The color looks great on it.
Thanks Kevin!!👍🏻👍🏻
Nice job. Goes great with the die cast
I built a 53 chevy years ago painted it the same color maybe little lighter. Looks great.

Thanks Al!!👍🏻👍🏻
Looks great. Picture perfect. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Big Charlie!!👍🏻👍🏻
Another great build, love the colour.
Thanks!!
You've confirmed that this is the 'Hershey' car. The bare metal foil looks like the wrapper for Hershey Kisses.. Looks Great. Now I'm hungry for some chocolate..
Lol!! Yes it does
Lol
Nice job on the chrome looks great
Thanks Robert!!👍🏻👍🏻
Came out really nice looking . Good job !
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Love the brown!!!
Thanks Chuck!!👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice!
It's a great kit and the colour is very period even if not 100% correct.
Schart brown 😂👍
Thanks!!
A wonderful piece of work! Good colour choice; Mr Ford once said "They can have any colour they want so long as it is black!"
Thanks!!
Great job dad!
Thanks!!!!!
Don't feel bad on the bmf Matt..lol I myself usually have issues with bmf trying to release it from the build. Afterwards it is well worth it and yes yours turned out great 😊😊
Thanks Troy!!👍🏻👍🏻
Looks great I love the color!
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Hello ! You do a great job as a model builder, but also I think as a video producer : I like when you stop, asking questions to yourself and/or to your viewers. It is not only a building process but also a very human one.
Excellent Build
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
The 48 turned out great, Revell did a nice job on casting this kit, and you did a great job building it. That die cast is awesome as well!
Thanks Jethro!!👍🏻👍🏻
Another awesome build!
Thanks Brandon!!👍🏻👍🏻
Try out the Molotow chrome pen sometime. It works pretty good.
What a great build. I would never buy this kit, then I saw your build and now I have to try it. I held my breath while you were doing the bmf. Great job. Thank you for the effort!
Thanks Anthony!!👍🏻👍🏻
Sweet! Very nice build
Thanks Asko!!👍🏻👍🏻
Here’s an idea that may help with bmf. Try masking the trim with Tamiya tape before bmf. After you’ve cut the foil, peal off the tape and the extra foil comes up with it.
Very nice!!!!!!!
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Your 48 has turned out really nice and the brown colour looks very much of the time. Imagine Ford using up wartime paint supplies. Good build. Thanks for sharing it. Pete😎
Thanks Peter!!👍🏻👍🏻
@@modelcarvideos5829 it really does look great👍👍👍. Pete😎
Absolutely outstanding....! thanks for sharing your skills..and tips.."you the man!"..:-)
Thanks Chris!! And thanks for joining the FB group!
Hope it doesn't melt in your hands love the color and the car
Lol!!👍🏻👍🏻
looks fantastic!
I am not glad that you are having problems with the BMF but I am glad to see that I am not the only one that have these problems. I hate BMF.
Its challenging for sure!!👍🏻👍🏻
The model looks great, I've built two of the 48 Ford's, and have one I got already built by someone else, they are beautiful kits, Revell does some nice mold work for sure!
Chocolate with a caramel filling...man I'm craving that.😄 Great job.
👍🏻👍🏻
Great job!
Thanks Ernesto!!👍🏻👍🏻
Man, you're an amazing modeler! That Ford is absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks Joe!!
Awesome work looks great.
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Very cool nicely done.
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Looks great! I’m fixing to start a Revell c10 65 .I’m just getting back in to model your video help me to get started back. Thank you keep up the great work !!
Thanks Ralph and good luck!!👍🏻👍🏻
Looks good in brown. An uncle of mine owned a brown 46 coupe so I wasn't surprised to see one in this colour. Great job.
That is a beautiful 48 Ford. Great work. Ron
Thanks Ron!!👍🏻👍🏻
I found it much easier to use masking tape, mask around the chrome parts, then apply silver using a simply silver Sharpy, or even a Malatow pen!
Chocolate brown . I like it , i did a 54 chevy be-lair brown and cream roof , i like it
Great looking build and I love the brown
Looks great
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
That is a gorgeous build. I don't know if the brown is period correct or not but it looks like it should be. You make the chrome foiling look easy. I don't know if I lack patience or got hold of a bad batch but I have the worst luck with mine. Add this kit to my growing wish list.
Awesome build!! Ur channel got me started w/ BMF. Tks for keeping it real w/ the BMF. Now I know @ least 1 other person has 'opportunities' w/ the stuff!!!
Thanks Johnny!!👍🏻👍🏻
The whole car looks great, but I really like how the seats look.
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Man did it ever turned nice ❤
I had my doubts about the color, but it turned out great!!! I'm struggling with the mpc kits too..mpc is hard to resist, they have great subject matter..
Thanks Keith!! Yeah I find myself reaching for the MPC kits then slap my hand!
I might have to buy that kit
Awsome job
Model A motors were green.
Cool color
Wonderful beautiful
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
excellant travail
Thanks Dominique!!👍🏻👍🏻
very nice
RJ

👍🏻👍🏻
Wow! Now that looks beautiful! Strangely enough, now I want a Hershey bar. 😆
Lol!! Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent build my friend ! I might have to pick this one up.
That really came out gorgeous. I think this is my favorite of your kit builds so far.
🤘😘🤳
Thanks!!
@@modelcarvideos5829 l should be thanking you. Due to some health issues I've become practically a shut-in since l had to retire l2 years ago. You and the other CZcamsrs who share this hobby have brightened up more days for me than you can imagine.
I really glad to know that!! Thank you!
Great job on the builds.really dig them display cases.look forward to your future builds.peace brother.
Looks great!!
Your 48 came out great I'm way out if metal foil practice can't remember the last time I did that!....who mad the metal one Danbury, Franklin mint .. Other? I sold most of mine only go two left a 48 Tucker and a 49 Buick convertible.
Thanks!! I'm not sure who made it. I'll have to look.
Looks awsome buddy really like the color layout on it 👍👍Keith
Thanks Keith!!👍🏻👍🏻
This was a beautiful build truned out awesome 👍 great job .when you going to build the monster truck usa-1 I seen on yourself in the beginning of the video
Thanks!! I'll probably get one of the new USA1 kit that was just released and keep the older one.
I ues bare foil myself i get that glue on my bodys some time i use simple green and a qtip
I'll have to try that! Thanks
It's a good solid color brown. I think it will be brown metallic when I make it. Did metallic colors exist in the 1940s?
I'm not sure but that should look good!!
Long video but 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great job! I've got the same model. I'll get it together sometime.
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
very nice sir!
Thanks Sean!!👍🏻👍🏻
You crack me up. You talk like your not sure what your doing, and ask alot of questions to your audience as your building . You are a damn great builder, you do great work, alot of us need guidance from you ! Lol
I have painted two bodies in a row and screwed them up to where I wanna stop building. I'm not though but its frustrating. These last 2 builds I have decided that I will never paint a body with a can ever again. Airbrush only.
Amazon has great prices on badger and paacshe Airbrush 1 and 2 oz bottles. I buy em by the dozen.
NO MORE BODIES PAINTED WITH A CAN ..LOL ! Frames, and parts ok.
Anyway, I appreciate your videos.
There are fun to watch and look forward to your next build. Just curious. How many unbuilt kits/ inventory do you suppose you have ?
I am 58. I bought alot of kits when I managed a hobbyshop chain over 30 years ago which I never built. I just got back into the hobby about 2 years ago and Instead of building the ton of stuff I have,I keep buying new kits. THANK YOU Hobby Lobby with your 40% off . Lol .
Again, thank you for your videos.
Howard
All it needs now is some Hershey's logos on the doors!😄
Yep!!👍🏻👍🏻
wow very nice sedan learned somethings cool vid thankx cooter d out
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Really great work! A tip for foiling: put some masking tape on the area to be foiled. Then you can just lift off the masking tape and the foil comes along. Touch the tape glue side with your fingers a little to prevent any glue stains on the paint, though the risk is minimal.
Which model is the maroon colour car?
And of course the (New improved) chrome is the one to use, much easier than Bright chrome or aluminium.
This car looks absolutely beautiful. What is the name of the body color? I'm going to build mine stock and one as the police car.
Thanks!! It's Testors gloss Light Brown.
Great build mate, love the colour even though it kinda looks like a chocolate bunny as you say, lol, came out looking awesome, have a sheet of the bare metal foil here but haven't had the guts yet to try using it?,think you may have inspired me,have been wanting this kit now for quite awhile so i may have to get it now, looking forward to your next build, have you heard of model car hobby headquarters of fb & luka Cee's chanel of the same name on here btw?,keep up the great work, cheers
Thanks Malcolm!!👍🏻👍🏻
In Hell, there's a special room where they keep the people who've been very, very bad.
It has nothing but dull X-acto blades and Bare Metal Foil.😉
LOL!!
How do you cut your foil without damaging your paint? I had that problem with my 56 Del Ray .
Very carefully! I don't cut beyond where the foil will be.
Hi, just wondering which model is the other car (fFord sedan?) in the video?
That's a diecast model. Same scale
U do anything with the foose parts truck
Actually since revell sent me a new cab I have all the parts to complete it. It's just waiting in line!
Build a 53 panel truck to match the silver foose truck .I have 2 foose kits all the suspension and motor going under a panel I'm building. It fits perfectly. I also have that frame cut up under a 48 ford coup like the one u just finished.
That's awesome!!
These die-cast cars almost make me ask myself why am I busting my butt, spending hours upon hours building a car kit which I will never be satisfied with ,when I can buy these beautiful flawless replica's and spend my time on something else ? Lol
Me too!!
It's the thrill of the hunt lol
acheté. Il est en construction.
Is it Matthew at Model Car Videos?
I put a link in the description below the video. You are on the page not the group.
Honestly not digging the color, but that is just my opinion. Otherwise you keeping it 100!
