DIY Origami Ddakji 🟥 Squid Game 🟦 + HOW TO FLIP IT!

- [Simple] How to make Ddakji (featured in Squid Game) plus how to get it to flip. This Ddakji is easier to make because it uses just one sheet of printer paper, no cutting and no folding in thirds! I recommend using cardstock (extra heavy printer paper) because it will be easier to get it to flip.
However, it might be best to first fold it from normal printer because it's easier to fold. You can also fold it from a dollar bill, but start at 1:50. I wasn't able to get it to flip from normal lightweight printer paper, but it flew excellent as a flicker. I was kind of torn whether or not to make this video because I didn't want to promote Squid Game because I think it targets young people and is very NOT appropriate for them (or for anyone actually!) and because it features the Ddakji origami model as a violent game - the person who loses gets slapped, which so goes against my core values. But since Squid Game has gone so ridiculously viral, I feel the least I can do is express to everyone my point of view, and help encourage people to fold and play with this model peacefully as it has always been done until Squid Game came along and hijacked it. Squid Game turned a healthy innocent game of paper into one that is now associated with violence, just like it did to all of the other children's games featured in the series. So, now, summoning the spirit of Sadako and the 1000 Cranes, I call on all of you to help restore the peace of paper. Please, DON'T make this game about slapping each other. If you need to have a prize for winning maybe you could play for candy. Or, how about the loser needs to rub the winner's shoulders? I say this because honestly, my arm and shoulder were sore after slamming the ddakji so many times onto the table learning how to get other one to flip. How about a game of Ddakji Flicker, where you see whose is able to fly that farthest. You could even set up an obstacle course that you need to flick the Ddakji through, or simply use it to play frisbee golf.

I believe watching you when I was so little made me keep my creativity and taught me how to be very spatially aware. Little tip for people who uses A4paper. You can glue 2 pieces of A4 paper together then it will be heavy enough to flip

Hi. You may remember me from a few years ago when I said I was gonna sell origami and donate most of the profit to no-kill animal shelters. Sadly, that dream crashed and burned when I moved into an apartment. Anyways, I was playing ddakji years before Squid Game came out. I HATED the fact that the original 2-sheet method had you start by folding into thirds! Eww, thirds! Anyways, I figured out a way to get the same result as the original while using fourths instead of thirds. Maybe I'll post my method here as a document so you can maybe cover it sometime!
