I had a 71 Opel GT AMC9L.......early teens, bought it for some back country, what we called "Rat Racin"......point A to B, usually a few miles, line them up and then take on the sharp curves and straightaways.....I was still drag racing at the same time with my 66 GTO...my daily driver.....loved Rat Racin'....NEVER any cops in the outback of Virginia......any of y'all do it back in the day? I had a few good ones, Triumph TR-4, Austin Healey 3000 Mk III and my favorite and really kicked some butt in, especially on the straights, Sunbeam Tiger......the old Maxwell Smart's car on the show Get Smart......LOL....I enjoyed the Rat Racin' days as much as drag racing....back then. Haven't had a foreign machine in decades. Thanks for today's memories AMC9L....love ya brother!

Cordova was a great track! I cant wait to go to funny car chaos again this year!
great cars-too bad it's 1/8 mile as that isn't drag racing. just IMO.
