Had to comment on this because I can somewhat relate to what happened to her with OCS. I got accepted for Army OCS and at the very last second when I was about to leave they disqualified me due to my eyesight (even though they already checked it) they apparently overlooked my papers and I was out of the vision range required even with a waiver. I already quit my job and everything so it was a real bummer. I hope everything works out for her and that she gets into one of her top schools!
