- Sorry I haven’t uploaded in ages again! But here’s a new video that was requested a few times.
As always feel free to suggest any video ideas you have for me about any Sci-Fi show!!
Todd is an alien called the wraith from the show stargate atlantis. the wraith feed on human life, but todd is usually more civilized than the other wraith and so he works with atlantis many times and he has a great sense of humor!!
Enjoy and thank you so much for 200 subscribers (that’s now 260) it means so much!!! - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Honestly, I don't know how anyone could dislike Todd. He is great and clearly uses his intimidating presence for personal humor.
he really does, if i was him, i would be the same, just for my own giggles haha
Also he got that great Goth style. I love that.
@@kishascape Todd setting an acceptable standard for goths is something I can get behind
Agreed. He is hilarious, and definitely looks like a Todd.
Do I need to remind everyone that he easily has killed thousands of people, if not more? Just saying. _{He still has his charms though, ngl...)_
"we had to stun him SEVERAL times..." one of the best characters across all Stargate fanchise, the mix of joy and reverence from a warrior who admired a tough opponent, but still reveled in victory. He even had a sense humor about it. I even love that they gave him a human name, considering how well he played a non-human. If they bring back Stargate, Todd really needs to be part of it
Oh yeah!
I hope the same actor is able to reprise his role. Or someone he knows personally who can bring out the same chemistry and joy that Todd had. 😁
The Todd respects strength.. regardless of species.
Todd blew himself to atoms , along with the Facility was in .
I still laugh my ass off at that🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He looks younger than he did before...Rodney was such a great character and portrayed brilliantly.
Rodney's just jealous, lol.
He always steals the scenes! 💕
I actually DESPISED Rodney . That doesn't mean I underestimated his Cruciality . But seriously what a C- -t of a Man .
You missed the best one we’re Shepard is talking to Todd trying to convince him to help them run down the mega hive Todd asks why he should help and Shepard saids that he’d want to do it out of spite and Todd starts laughing saying Shepard knows how to speak to him
Don’t worry!! There will be a second part! It’s in the making!!
“John Sheparrrrd!”
I mean Todd is basically the wraith version of Shepard/O'neil.
That is the best one i reckon. Fantastic actor. I reccommend Sanctuary, created by, and starred in by Amanda Tapping and our man Todd, er, Heyerdahl.
@@benjaminbierley2074 More like the Wraith-version of Ba'al or Yu.
I like Todd. He's the one Wraith with a sense of humor
Shake on it?
Yea. I think he was the only wraith to laugh at something funny. To him.
Todd's joke is AMAZING. I die laughing every time
I do the same, I also laugh with Teal'cs Jaffa joke and everyone looks at him as if they hadn't just heard the best joke of all time
todd is that one guy who is hated but yet everyone loves because he is iconic
I don't hate him at all fuckin love Todd he's especially an example of how a good wraith can exist since he is more civilized well mannered thoughtful and mostly trustworthy yes he's probably unfortunately had to do his share of sucking the life out of humans but only to survive.
Love Todd, so funny. SG Atlantis would’ve been much poorer without him. Such good writing and such good delivery of lines.
By far my Fav character. Well apart from Ronin Dex.
Atlantis would be destroyed if not for Todd as well. He helped save them a couple times.
Just a little wraith humor
😂
Little is an understatement to how funny he is.
That’s the episode, and the line, that made me like him even more! Gotta love a Wraith with humor!💖
Just finished rewatching the show. Todd was hilarious and I wish we could have gotten one episode of the whole crew back on earth. Imagine Todd(who doesn't need to feed now) reacting to earth
He reverted back to normal wraith hand feeding in the last episode.
@@rockindoc1975very unfortunate considering that he could have been freed of The hunger that has enslaved his race for long.😊
@@rockindoc1975 Its for the best, really hated how the writers kept trying to change the nature of the wraith with these shortsighted experiments, as if removing their need to feed would make them any less of a threat to the galaxy being a vastly more advanced civilization that just so happen to also be super cut throat and ruthless in nature.
I miss Todd and the whole Atlantis gang of misfits so much!
Heyerdahl was just perfect as Todd. A shame they didnt finish SGA with a Movie or two like SG 1
He was one of the most used actors(for various side roles) in the stargate franchise. SG-1 he played some villager (dont remember the episode) and then he went on to play 2 or 3 parts in atlantis.
@@butterybiscuit346 it was that dome where they were programmed and blocked by debris and radiation or something.
@@butterybiscuit346 SPOILERS In SG1 he was a villager where the hidden AI of the village, manipulated their memory and killed them one by one in order to protect the failing forcefield protecting the village form a corrosive post apo atmoshere
There was a movie on the cards called "extinction" Or something. Clearly it didn't get off the drawing board :/
there are 8 books that finish the series quite nicely
I've always loved Todd, even when he's distrusting, trying to ram a handful of us, into a planet......❤️.
The Wraith are actually one of my favourite 'bad guy race'...in all my personally known sci fi genres.
Same! The wraith are amazing
@@TheFaceOfWhoDWTSG I think someone might have a little crush on a certain wraith...😉
@@nivekgad imagine the roleplay people could use...too dominant
Saaaame i love Todd. I am so glad they spared him
Way better than the Goul'd even though those worms are morally worse than The wraith considering all the horrible things they've done.
Damn, him and Ronan dying together in an alternate timeline really says a lot
Though lucky, old McKay saves everything, and Michael was such pure evil.
@@TigerWing141he wouldn't be if they never turned him into a human against his will that made him lose everything since the other wraith foolishly didn't want anything to do with him which is stupid considering their hybrids as well thus it made him insane so don't blame him for his actions blame Atlantis since they were the idiots who thought it was a good idea I don't think anyone of SG-1 would agree with that not even Hammond what they did was unethical stupid and look what it led to there is no worst enemy than making your own
Well true@@Elitesolider1023 , but can't blame them, other races have made mistakes, like the Ancients, like history can be repeat through others.
@@TigerWing141 you're kidding right they're literally the ones that made the wraith to begin with and the replicators and left many of their technology behind at fell into the hands of the Goul'd and they selfishly do nothing as ascended beings they can go to hell no better than the founruners from Halo since they made everything worse and the reason why the precursors tragically became the flood.
Well the humans @@Elitesolider1023 are ancient descendants, and history can repeat itself though others, a fact.
Bob. Steve. Mike. Todd.
Shephard is hilarious.
Todd is pretty awesome too.
Hes such an iconic actor...love him in all his roles...Stargate, Sanctuary, Peacemaker, even Supernatural...
John Shepard, holy crap, mass effect started in Stargate.
There’s a really good FanFiction that crosses over SG, mass effect, and battle star galactica universes. The first story is a war between the 12 worlds of BSG and the humans of earth from SG. The story eventually leads to the mass effect galaxy. First book is called “contact at kobol”
The same with the BORDERLANDS series. Numerous parallels. Mostly the second iteration.
@@ryderdopp8145 may I have the name of it, sounds very interesting
@@namelast_name9339 it’s in my last comment. It’s called “contact at kobol”
Always loved the "space vampires"
Better than the pitiful fuckin worms even though those things did worse things than The wraith did that would even probably disgust them as well.
n a t u r a l l y
I love Todd's laugh at 3:21,the look Carter gives him after she's thinking you would get on with Jack
Todd was one of the best, wish there were more moments like these. Good stuff
Todd saw shepard as his equal and in time began seeing the rest of the SG team as on his level.
After that he opened up and essentially was talking to them as if they were long time friends.
Created much needed banter akin to SG1 that was lacking, which in part was why i got bored with Atlantis. I enjoyed oneill and witty one liners.
My guy, if you find Atlantis lacking banter, I dunno what to tell you.
exactly the other way around for me. i tried watching sg-1 so many times, but the cast are sooo one-dimensional and boring (imo) that i cant even get beyond episode 1
Simply put, Todd was to Atlantis as Ba'al was to SG1
@@jenshep1720 seriously!? Sg1 is a superior show in my opinion. Though I do also love Atlantis
about as equal as you see a bee as an equal
Todd was Halling(?) in the earlier episodes of Atlantis.
He also played as Pallan in SG-1.
Chris Heyerdahl, everyone.
The make up is spot on in this show, aged John Sheppard looks exactly the actor today
Except for the turkey throat!
HAHAAH I LOVE RODNEY AND TODD TOGETHER
Yesss they are amazing!!
Just a little wraith humor 🤣🤣🤣
Ronan: 'I was just gonna blow it up.~'
Todd: 'Naturally... -.-'
X'DDDD
3:16 Sam didn't even flinch.
Sam had already dealt with the Ori and the replicators both of whom are more dangerous than the wraith by a significant order of magnitude. At worst, the wraith were Atlantis's variation on the Goauld, and by the end Sam had plenty of sass for Ba'al.
She faced worse. Much, much worse.
@@gregsimoes8645it's very ironic considering the ray for more powerful than the Goul'd but yet those worms are still morally worse considering the more sickening things they have done because all the wraith do is feed specially because they have to the Gould do not do anything by necessary they steal bodies that aren't their own to control enslave other people to do their bidding.
I should rewatch the entire series. I loved this series so much
Yesss, you should!! Pick is replaying them all but already on season 4

@@TheFaceOfWhoDWTSG what's PICK?
@@nivekgad a TV channel, you may not have it where you are?
It’s on CZcams at stargate channel.
I truly enjoyed the guest actors who became recurring characters, the SG-1 team would have never progressed or learned from their experiences without some healthy, alien rival from another planet. The actors who marked the best performance I think are Cliff Simon as Ba'al and Christopher Heyerdahl as Todd. And let's not forget Tony Amendola as Bra'tac. If they weren't in the show I don't think I would have watched it (the show). Some of the episodes did lack some interest but they sure lasted for ten years and gave it their top best.
RIP Cliff Simon
March 2021 🙏 🌼
Omg! Baal died? I mean the actor. Just read yo comment. I'm actually so sad! He was a very good villain and very provocative and cunning. Always enjoyed the episodes with him and the others you mentioned as well. Oh! and he was so intriguingly handsome.. 😢
May he lie with the other great system lords.
love todd! some of the best hurmour came from his charecter
I might be months late to the party, but this was the only ''Todd compilation'' i could properly find on YT that includes all the jabs/go F yourself Humans moments. Well deserved sub!
Still say Todd should have showed up at the end leading other hive ships to help in the finale.
Buuut, then he would just go over and feed on Earth. He is still a Wraith
@@honzasenbauer612 By then he was cured of needing to feed though. Plus he'd been an ally for a while and would have made a far more awesome ending.
@@GankbotShuk Also in the novels the tauri/wraith war ends with a peace agreement actually... according to the wiki on said war anyhow.
@@honzasenbauer612nahhhhh because he knows that he would not have any benefit from his friends anymore and it would be pointless yes he is a wraith but he's not like the others guide has a good heart.
@@supervegito2277yeah but I didn't like how they were still needing to feed though if they ever bring the show back they should just have killer's gene yeah but I didn't like how they were still needing to feed though if they ever bring the show back they should just have keller gene therapy work so they can just eat regular food just like how Jaffa were finally free of carrying Goul'd symbiotes due to the medicine that was made for them which would be a nice better comparison that the rays which would be a nice better comparison for wraith to finally be free
5:36 Thank you, I've been looking for this exact scene for a while now. Been on a Stargate nostalgia bender as of late(really miss the series, especially SGA with the wraith).
The way Todd says "We had to stun him several times." sounds vaguely inappropriate.
@@corvusnull5204 Some of his lines do kinda sound like he's flirting. 6:41 for example, when he says "Did you" elicits an image of him smiling and flaunting his eye lashes in my mind.
@@ignisking759 best line ever.
I know they needed Todd, but in Common Ground, you KNOW Ronan wouldn't have asked before shooting Todd in the back
Ever since I watched Sanctuary (tv serie) at the scene with Samantha I cannot help but think in her head like "Oh dont worry, he is my ex from another universe, that I am still in love with, where I point a gun at him 24/7" xD
Who doesn't love Todd? He's great!
Todd is one of my favorites, if not the favorite. A hint of kindness and a lot of cunning and calculating. Just love him.
Todd is the best
All the best lines from one of the coolest characters in Sci Fi in one video? Yes, sign me up please!
Todd was one of my favorite characters of Atlantis he tries to use human comedy but always makes people feel uncomfortable
That character is perfect :)
Seriously there are some lines that stayed with me ever since. The handshake one is one of them.
Ahhh good old Todd. That Time alone really gave him time to think.
Great walk down memory lane. Todd and Sheppard were the best.
Girl the reason people love it so much is because you're a Stargate fan plain and simple we love and support each other from start to finish will always be here for you just like this shows always there for us I really love start getting Atlantis too
4:20 It's just funny that McKay even annoyed a wraith with his arrogance.
I wanna give him a hug and pet his long white hair so bad
I came for the Todd I subscribed for the Todd 💚 I shall explore your channel further.
WRAITH NEED TO BE FULLY FLESHED OUT WITH THEIR CULTURE. TODD PROVES THERE IS FAR MORE TO THEM AND THAT THEY DO HOLD MANY VALUES AS A SPECIES.
I totally agree!! I also feel bad for Michael.
@@TheFaceOfWhoDWTSG Michael’s case was a shit show And and half. They did the poor man dirty. He even gave them a chance to make it right by letting him go so he could live his own life somewhere else in the galaxy, but such is the lantian way.
@@TheFaceOfWhoDWTSG Michael was my first Wraith crush!💖 Connor Trinneer did an excellent job as Michael! You couldn’t help but feel bad for Michael, and wish that they would’ve let him go. He didn’t deserve any of it, but he ended up being a great ongoing character. He made you see the Wraith in a different light. Basically, Todd was the same…he just didn’t lose his mind. He was fortunate not to go through what Michael did, although who knows how long the Genii had him as a prisoner. As he was on more and more episodes, his character just got better and better.👍
The handshake was awesome.
Need a Todd-human romance
They man who played Todd was in the van helping Tver series as a phsyo. I believe he won a few awards for that. His acting carrier is great compared to many A listers who just turn up
Todd and baal such great characters
I forgot how fucking hilarious this show is.
I loved this character in Atlantis.
Incredible actor he was amazing in the Twilight movies but totally overlooked
and also in the Sanctuary series
Todd is a badass. Absolutely one of the best characters in SGA
The way he says "naturally" 😂
"Download to a non networked computer"... I suppose they'll use a good ol' dial up modem or something.
"I believe among your people it is customary to shake hands" - I maybe a human but that one was pretty good.
THIS is why atlantis needs to come back, COME ON BRAD, JASON, JOE, Helwett, They would all come back telling you brad wright
Yeah...no...it has been WAY too long. The only way to bring it back now is in a movie or two, and that's pushing it. The series is dead.
.
Honestly, the franchise is dead. Like all such things, they didn't build it to last. They hung too much of their success on specific characters, and built the world of their story organically, which just lead to really...REALLY...stupid inconsistencies. There were some really shining moments in all the shows and such, but there were more flubs, and some were pretty bad.
.
The franchise needs a reboot, and needs to be done as an anthology format. Each season, exclusively follow a different SG team through the gate. This prevents actors from getting "stuck", and offers much more flexibility on killing characters, or bringing popular ones back for really cool cameos or recurring roles. It also gives better potential for spin-offs.
.
As an example, how about a spy-thriller (while still keeping the core themes and tones everybody loves about the original SG-1), that follows the Tok-Ra through their millennia-long rebellion. Every season, or maybe less, you advance time a hundred years or so, and swap out actors, but carrying the same symbiote. Run it all the way up to the SG-1 era, and then things really pick up speed.
