My beautiful Filipina wife who always enjoys her daily farm activity with joyfulness and sassiness, See how she managed to do all her task without any complains and just continue doing it with beauty and loveliness.
You will never have enough of her, never stop working. The Foot road project is coming to an end very soon. Her organic vegetable garden has now giving us fresh food . Shes enjoying just the simple things her in our little farm.
We Filipinas are so simple women , we just want your time and attention and that's what makes us happy 😊

Why not plant them in rows, the output would be greater and harvesting would be much simpler. I have a clear eye and the veggies and fruits are planted in any which way. How much land do you have? 4 eagles..My lot here is full.of rocks..so I only can olant on a area where there is less rock..basically just the entire area are ricks with little bit of soil in it..I did a lot of effort on taling away some of those rocks 8 years ago just to make this place little bit suitable for garden

Randy the corn killer, good title for a movie
Lol good one. Be careful what you husk.
That golden stuff on the actual corn cob is called "corn silk" with the "tassel" being on top of the corn stock. The tassel produces the pollen. The pollen drops onto the silk ends with the pollen growing into and down each strand of silk. Each strand of silk connects directly to only one kernel of corn. This means that for every kernel of corn, there is a silk strand connected to it. Typically, when the silk turns brown and dry, the corn is ready to pick/harvest, ie, if it is sweet corn. Field corn and popcorn would require a longer time to ripen and dry. Did you know, that you can make your own cornmeal with your own corn, if the corn is ripe and totally dry. Field corn or dent corn makes the best cornmeal. Simply shell the kernels off each cob and place the kernels into a good blender or grain mill and blend or mill until one gets the desired flour. This doesn't take long, a minute or two at most. We do this all the time which makes wonderful cornbread or cornpone, as our old timers would call it. If you want a good recipe, let me know.

Nice plants! Garden tip Rose: cut off the low branches of the tomatoes that cone close to the ground, that way they pick up less disease that I heard you mention. My state is known for some of the tastiest tomatoes so I've grown them for 45 years.

So, Rose and Randy...do you can or preserve any of your garden harvests? I have been doing so for many years, with my mother showing me how. Once I see someone doing something, I generally don't forget and then I improve upon, when necessary. I, too, like okra and everything your have there, including you, Rose...oh, I'm sorry, Rose, please forgive me. I love to make pickles, many kinds. I have recipes but I nearly always alter them which results in flavors that are not available anywhere else. So far, no one has gotten sick or died from my culinary 'skills'. I often make so much that I just give much away...never charging anybody for anything. It isn't a gift if there are strings attached! Wishing you all well. I love the way the Rose garden grows...I, too love to watch everything grow including things that I don't plant.

Rosemarie does have beautiful hair it's soft as silk when you run your fingers through it. Yes never give up hope finding a beautiful loving Filipino woman I was 61 before I found Rosemarie.
Tell Randy that is silks coming out of the ear of corn, and tassels are at the top of the corn stalks.with pollen on it that falls on to the silk to germinate the ear of corn.

Pigs are growing fast and grunting loud. Their whole life revolves around feeding time. Yes good location in a nice protected area. You family knew what they were doing when they settled there. Shake the corn stalks a little to pollenate tassels. .
That they are, they only grunt when she is feeding them. Yes it is pretty well protected here from most disasters that could happen here.

Your corn will be ready when they ears are round on the top not pointed even though it starts to Brown on top you need to feel the top of the ear to see if it is ready

I wonder how thick is your walk ? It look like a standard 2 by 4 lumber stud . Meaning your walk is 4 inches thick . One bag of concrete is equal to 1 1/2 cubic yard of concrete width I say close to 1 yard or 1 meter . How far does it go your walk ? Standard mile is 5280 feet ; a kilometer ( I had to google this )is equal to 5/8 of a mile . Not knowing to weather condiction at the time . I know it takes water and lot more if hot outside . I assume you use new concrete with fiber inside it . Not wire mesh ( that was the old way )..... Your walk reminds of the wizard of oz song . Follow the yellow brick road .
Yes it's 4 inches thick. The entire pathway is about a half mile long. The part we did is about 250 meters long. No they don't have the fiber here. Thanks for watching we appreciate it and have a great day.
