- A top Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander has said Iran’s elite force sent a message to the US with its recent mission. In May, the fifth Martyr Lieutenant General Haj Qassem Soleimani fleet of the IRGC Navy returned home after completing a 39-day mission. The fleet, with the Shahid Mahdavi warship acting as its flagship, began its mission from Farsi Island, where the US killed an IRGC commander. “This conveyed important messages to the US,” Colonel Soleimani of the fifth Martyr Lieutenant General Haj Qassem Soleimani fleet said. The Shahid Mahdavi warship passed through important and strategic straits of the world, including the Strait of Malaga during its mission.

The problem with Iran is that it only knows how to attack but does not know how to defend itself or to fight in the face of a capable enemy. Look what happened in 1983 when Iran tried to fight the US Navy in the Persian Gulf: three of its major naval warships were utterly destroyed and sunk practically obliterating the Iranian navy, with no damage whatsoever to the opposing US warships. And then look what happened recently in Tehran where its "dear guest" was eliminated right in the very power center of Iran. If Iran cannot protect itself right in the very heart of its own capital, how much more can it protect its political, military, economic and industrial centers from a counterstrike or, worse, a pre-emptive attack knowing that Iran's enemies possesses and operates much, much more advanced and powerful weapons and military assets than Iran currently has? 🙄🙄🙄
