    I need to see how you actually get it in the tank but you are learning what you’re corals need and creating something magical.

    Build out the base larger with more support points if you plan to go larger with the scape.

    Just found your channel and have been loving the content!
    For the scaping, would it be any easier to use something more like a putty to bind the larger rocks together or an epoxy over the superglue, just for the extra hold and structural integrity it might add over the glue?

    Looks like very hard work this aquascape. You must have had truckloadful of patience. It looks brittle and I'd definitely be worried once corals grow in that their added calcium carbonate skeletal weight might break the aquascape.
    Thanks for another video 🙂

    Have you thought about trying the rock powder and thin super glue method? I find that it makes great bonds that dont require the mortar and sets fast.

    • @QueenofReef
      @QueenofReef  Před 2 lety

      I would, but the method would never hold up the weight of the rock because the arches are so extended and essentially balancing on one small rock 😮‍💨 I really need the extra support sadly

  • @jjmccloud
    @jjmccloud Před rokem

    Does the mortar need to be cured like when using cement for diy rocks or does this marco stuff not effect the ph or anything from the start

    • @QueenofReef
      @QueenofReef  Před 2 lety +1

      I'm thinking that's the only way it will work 👀 The rock i'm using is just too small. I don't think in three structures so this will be a fun challenge !! Hahah yes I got wayyyy too much (also have another entire box of shelf rock), didn't expect that much would show up 😂 It's hard not starting a ton of tanks but I can barely handle one lmao

    NSA is a poor habitat for reef fish, and actually the opposite of a reef in nature. The fish have no rock structure to sleep in, and no where to get away from others. BRS even walked this back after promoting it for months, after seeing the stress and aggression that resulted.

    • @QueenofReef
      @QueenofReef  Před 2 lety +2

      My corals are really large so once they're on the scape the fish will have tons of caves! I get how aggression could happen in a tank just starting out with no coral coverage-which is why I waited for my corals to grow out before I added fishies other than my clowns so have never had aggression problems😊

    • @lukewelken8968
