The sweet singer's name is uzia tzadok. In the clip he was 13 years old and he competed in the children's competition called "Music School" and the judges were the mentors of each group of children. uzia won first place!!!! He has the voice of an angel.

I believe one of the judges is the singer who sang the original recording of the song. It was an absolutely MASSIVE hit in Israel, and this kid did an even better job than the original, which is saying a LOT.

From the comments I've learned that the song was a hit, sung by one of the female judges. Let's all take a second to appreciate the fact that there is ONE country in the world in which a kid in a yarmulka can sing a song on national tv about G-d helping him, and win. And even for those who are strict (including myself) about hearing women sing, there is something amazing about the fact that (some) female singers in Israel have hits that are about asking Hashem for help. This took place at least 8 years ago, it's a kids talent competition called "music school" and this is the final performance, he won the competition and went on to be a talent in Israel.
This song was written as a prayer to God at a time when buses were blown up in Israel by terrorists who blew themselves up in order to kill Jews. Women, babies and children were smashed to pieces, and their organs were found far from the scene. These were very difficult times for the people of Israel. Jews from Sefardi countries ( Sefard means Spain but refers to both Spain and Middle Eastern and Northern African countries) are highly skilled at shaking their voice in this specific style. They pray in this style tune and pronounce words in tgis lyrical way

Wow! I’ve never heard this guy before, even though that’s a well known music competition here in Israel (Music School)…
I did some checking, and apparently this kid (13 yr) did win this competition, and now he’s 21 and serving the country.
BTW, this is one of the most famous and emotional songs ever written in Hebrew and has an interesting story behind it, and it was originally sung by Sarit Hadad, one of the judges on this show.
