Each carrier comes with a neoprene backer, just like our Cloak Tuck 3.0 iwb holster, and two holster clips - including our standard glass-filled nylon belt clip. This allows the wearer to carry their spare magazine in virtually any manner they wish.
These are demonstrations of concepts and best practices, and in no way replace actual hands on training with a competent instructor. As always seek professional training.

FYI I always go to this channel for reviews on products. He and Kim are the reason I bought my Aliengear IWB. Just giving credit where it's due.
I'm still waiting on a shoulder holster for my cz75 sp-01 alien has a nice shoulder holster but it doesn't work with my firearm.
hey AG, will this along with the core carry pack fit on a 2" duty belt for owb?
Do you sell just the cog? I would like to put a cog on the outside half of my shell and clip a mag carrier to the outside of my shell while using it in a paddle holster configuration
I received my single mag carrier today and already love it! Alien Gear is one of the best in the industry!
I've been wearing my Alien Gear shape shift holster for a week now and love it. It's much more comfortable than my old kydex one. I'll have to order a mag pouch now.

As one who wears my IWB Alien Gear daily and loves it, I was certainly considering this mag pouch.
After your review, however, I think I will simply continue to carry my extra mag in my opposite trouser pocket.

Decided to watch out of curiosity, and also having been favorably impressed by their duty holster. Im glad I did. I like to carry my spare mag horizontally, as i carry an extended mag as a backup. The problem is that practically nobody makes horizontal mag carriers that I've seen. For years, I've just been securing my spare mag with ranger band that I run my belt through. This mag carrier might just be a game changer for my carry purposes.
I've been using their original leather IWB pistol holster for almost four years now with no problems. I've been looking at these and contemplating getting one. Thanks for the honest review.

I've had these for about 2 months now and I'd agree with you 100% on everything. I originally wanted to do IWB but being incredibly bulky, I just use it double OWB for my EDC. Being completely adjustable (and very comfortable) is definitely a good thing but, like you mentioned, makes it a bit bulky.

Thanks for the info bud. I've been looking for a holster for open carry on my property. You've shown it's not the one for open carry around town, etc., but I'd never do that anyway... don't want people knowing you're armed, then you're a target if shit goes down. Anyhow, good stuff. I bought one along with the AG3 holster for the G19 and love. I prefer it owb horizontal. It's a great design. I like the fact that you can adjust it on the go with the built in Allen wrench. It would be great if they could do that also with their holsters. Great video 👍

Looking at getting one of these.i have 2 of their holsters and just won an appendix shapeshift holster today.now i need to get a glock 26 bc thats what theyll be sending me.great products.i wear the 3.0 iwb every day w glock 17.

I have their AG 2 IWB holster, and still happy, I'm very happy they have a life time warranty, I've had to replace just about everything, from the kendex shell,the the belt clips, I'm on my second pleather section, and need to contact them to get a new one, Alien Gear holsters are very comfortable, as I wear mine near all the time, only time I'm not using it is when I go to bed, but lack durability in my opinion, I've been thinking of trying the AG3 holster to see if the durability is better

Great review! FYI there is a locking lever that you can turn 90° that prevents the clip from inadvertently opening hence releasing the clip from holster. Also there is a hidden Allen key hidden in the holster under the sliding clip! Love your videos btw

If you want an option for a magazine holster which fits most magazines, check out Harry's Holsters. His 3 in 1 kydex magazine holster allows for a horizontal mount, and it is a one of a kind mag carrier. I want to like Alien Gear, but all their gear is bulky with more parts than I want to mess with. I believe Alien gear has great customer service, and they are innovative, but they have opted to build products which are the Swiss Army knife of the holster world, while I prefer custom and specific purpose gear. I like you as a reviewer, keep up the good reviews.
IMO the best mag pouch out there. I suffer from tactical muffin top (need to exercise more) so mag pouches in the normal vertical position dig into me. This mag pouch can be adjusted horizontally which is perfect for me. I've got 2, one for single stack 9mm/40 and one for double stack.

When pulling mag out horizontally... does the retention clip slide on you on your belt or is it very well retained with no sliding movement?
@@gotyoursix7573 surprised this comment is getting replies all these years later lol. FWIW I have since lost weight and no longer carry in the horizontal, I carry AIWB most of the time, both pistol and mag pouch. The nice thing about the alien gear pouch is it can be readily customized to carry IWB or OWB, horizontal or vertical. By "retention clip" I'm assuming you mean the belt clip that attaches the pouch to your belt. If I'm carrying it horizontal I can either clip it just behind one of the pants loops or clip it to a doubled up portion of my belt. Either way keeps it from sliding around.

I love the modularity and innovation, but I just can't see something that thick working well IWB, especially with the firearm already tucked in there. If I were race gunning or open carrying, I think I'd give these a try.
Siesta Time they work really well for outside the waistband.
I haven't tried my double stack 9mm mags as an IWB but I have worn my single stack 45 acp mags as IWB and it fits fine for me with my 1911 IWB 3.5 holster.
There are two big issues. The tension screws wonder over a few days of use and I ordered with molle support and I don't see how that's supposed to work.
When mounted OWB horizontal... does the retention belt clip slide on you and your belt when pulling out for next mag reload?

I own this mag holder in double-stack 9mm size & love it. Do you own any in single stack size? I'm curious if they're adjustable enough to run either a single stack 9mm or single stack .45 with the same mag holder by adjusting the retention tightness.
Louis the single stack 9mm work for 40. Not sure about 45 though.

I sent mine back for the simple reason stated in the video: they are bulky. I'm going with a T-Rex Arms Micro Mag Carrier. The bulkiness exempted from consideration, they are PERFECT.
I'm looking for a MAG pouch or holster that when you mount it on your belts put your clips in the same alignment as your belt not up and down not inside the waistband outside the waistband the one that follows the outer contour of your core belt
The Rockstars at Alien needs to figure out a pocket pouch that rivals the NeoMag. These internal/external pouches are all a royal PIA. Love your holsters though.
Is that paddle slim enough to fit molle on a plate carrier ?
Maybe I skipped over it but the mag pouches should have an Allen key wrench concealed in the body of the "pouch". I own a single one but haven't worn it because my attire to date has not been very conducive to concealing a firearm/mag. Good to see someone put it through it's paces though. Love the videos, keep it up!

they're alright. But the tab that keeps the spring latch for the maghooks keeps turning off and the mag buckets can just slide off when you bump it. So Im constantly having to check the tabs to make sure they are facing the right way and the magazine bucket wont fall off. Lol

Gotta have OWB mag carrier..even for hellcat mags, very uncomfortable for IWB
I personally prefer the IWB variation I don’t agree with you, for me it’s the right size with my double stack mags it’s not bulky or uncomfortable. But to each his own. Thank you Alien Gear for this Mag invention. 🙏🏽
awesome video, nice attempt at a joke there. :) these do seem bulky, i think i will stick to inside the cargo pocket for now. at least until i get a better belt, the gun already tries to drag my pants off lol.

It's called the KT Defender because it has a light, if you don't run a light it's the other model. Mine is Duracoated in WWII ODG and the punisher logo I put it's not sold that way.

If you wore them OWB parallel with your belt what's the chances you can accidentally release the clip or can you lock it so it can't slide?
Bud Rocks the belt clip locks at any angle and you can set the mag retention.

Idk about the double mag pouch that's abit extreme. I'd rather have a left handed holster at that point. I like my single mag carrier. I didn't at first but had to mess with it.

Does not fit Glock 19 9mm mags. Screws are not long enough
