Rapline is unmatched. There’s an explanation video for UGH by DKDKTV which is pretty interesting to watch.
The Busan concert was a free concert and you never would have guessed it by how hard they performed. I also think that this was their chance to vent their frustration over what they were being told they should be doing, including their military enlistment. BTS said we control what we do, no one including haters and others will tell us what we need to do. They left everything on that stage and within 24 hrs of that concert, we got our first “Hello this is BIGHIT MUSIC members will now start their process to fulfill their military duties,” the message that has caused ARMYs hearts to drop every time we got a Weverse notification

This is exactly why bts is known to have the BEST RAPLINE. Everytime bts releases a rapline song, they NEVER DISAPPOINT. Bts will always make a hype song and their pen game will always go crazy. The three of them make the perfect rapline 👏

This BTS performance: Apparently J Hope changed around the words in a really smart way to reflect their more current circumstances, during his rap of Cypher 3, a rap RM said he will never perform again. Which is fair enough. It was so angry.
The change of words were poignant at the time given the Yoon’s government’s determination to use BTS by force and the manipulation of their mandatory military enlistment situation which had caused a lot of angst among young men in South Korea, members of BTS, and their company.
There is a good explanation video about the lyrics of UGH which is a play on the Korean word OOK which means 💩 I think by a channel called DKDKTV. (This channel content has changed a lot and the duo creators have parted company I think but they used to have one of the best explanation videos for BTS lyrics as they are both Koreans)

This was a FREE concert in Busan for 50k ppl. The government told BTS to do a concert because the government wanted to use them as a way to get the bid to host an expo or something like that (I suddenly forgot what it was). The whole thing was a mess and was not well organized. And a month before the event, the government said they’re not paying for the concert. There’s nothing released about BTS and Bighit making any complaints. They just took the whole thing into their own hands, changed the venue to make it safe and viable for Army and paid for the whole thing out of pocket with the help of some sponsors. Not to mention the government has been dangling the whole military exemption thing at BTS for years to use/control them. Since this was a “government event”, there were a lot of government officials in the audience during this concert, and the BTS rap line literally sang “you can’t control my shit” to their faces, and announced that they were enlisting in the military like the day after the concert. That’s pretty bad ass if you ask me 🖕🏿😎🖕🏿
It was after this series of events that I became Army
To clarify just a bit, BTS was asked to be ambassadors for the World Expo bid by Busan, and to do a concert, and they agreed to do both. Jin was supposed to enlist in the summer of that year, but he postponed because the other members asked him to wait and participate in this concert. The band/company willingly paid for it; they were not forced to pay for it - they knew from the beginning that Busan and the World Expo committee couldn't afford to pay for it and that if they did the concert they would pay for it themselves. The plan was originally to use a property in Busan on the water for a music festival feel, but it only had one entrance/exit and fans raised strong concerns about safety, so it was moved to the stadium in Busan. There were "not great" aspects to this concert, but it wasn't as bad as described above.

UGH! Great song, I love it
I've never been in to rap, but the BTS rap line is crazy good and it feels different than Western rap. RM was insane in this performance! I loved every second. I think this was the last time they performed this because they're kind of above all those haters now and it doesn't really matter so much to them. In the earlier days though, they really had a difficult time because they were getting hate from rappers and also hate from other idols.
Suga is well known for producing, but actually at this point all the BTS members Can produce. Suga doesn't produce all BTS music; they have in-house producers as well. Their solo works they each produce their own (at least the rap line does but sometimes bring in others to help), but the vocal line enlists help either from rap line members or in-house producers (or in Jung Kook's recent album, Western producers like Andrew Watt). That said, there is footage of each of them doing production work as well.
