These are from the years we all enjoyed ourselves, sorry so sad those years will never come back, and the young will never know how we enjoyed life then,Who agrees?
I agree! I was a little girl when I listened to this beautiful song on the radio (Barry White is a genius) and it always made me happy!! It does the same exact thing today…50 years later!! When this song was released, there were bad things happening all over the world…war, Watergate, conflicts in the middle east, racial protests, political scandals, gas shortages (we had to to wait in long lines to get gas to fill up the one car we had). But, when you would hear this song, you somehow knew it was all going to be okay. Maybe I was just a naive child, but life’s expectations were different…simpler and more authentic than today. I don’t know if there’s any real music coming out today that can put that kind of comfort, reassurance and peace in a young person’s mind…but I do know it will all be okay!😊
and you will never now how it is to be young know and in the future. I think it doeesnt matter which time it is, if you are young then you enjoy life in a different way than when you are old. I am pretty sure that in the 60 s the older one said the same thing about you.

А вот сейчас, спасибо ютубу, я имею возможность слушать хорошую музыку и любоваться прекрасными девушками! И спасибо интернету за то, что сейчас они для меня, 55-летнего, всё так же юны и прекрасны, как и тогда!
Not only was this song literally an anthem for all the boys coming home at the end of the Vietnam War, but it also kicked off the disco craze 50 years ago. RIP, Barry White. These gorgeous ladies really knew how to do justice to your magnum opus!
Sadly for us growing up in the 60s and 70s we just didn't realise how fantastic those days were, we were so privileged but just didn't know it. Halcyon days of the which we will never see again. Its down hill to oblivion.... R.I.P Ruthie my favourite P.P Rest on sweetheart.

It was the seventies, I was young, these girls were only slightly older, they appeared on TV every Thursday night. The epitome of feminine perfection, within my eyes and millions of other eyes, just like mine. They could not change, they could never grow old, it was just impossible to ever consider. These girls were set in time and time stood so very still. So how could they ever grow old? They were a part of my youth and it was eternal, everlasting. How the years have wreaked their bitter vengeance upon all of us. Telling us all, that death is the only unchangeable factor of our all too short time upon this planet. Everyone around us, those we thought as being immortal during our innocent years, are cruelly taken from our side. These beautiful Angelic girls with their innocent style of seduction, were not immune from the cruelty of time and it's spiteful nature. To be told over recent years that four of these icons of youth everlasting, have succumb to the erosion of time, fallen ill and passed forever away from our lives, still and will always feel unbelievable to those of us who remain and remember them in their times of perfection and everlasting beauty. We can only stare with more than a little sadness at these brief outtakes from our youth, with a single tear in both eyes, one for the lost icon and the other for ourselves.
Wondrous feminism! Difficult to come to the terms with the reality they are now either OAP's or even passed away but at least lived a full life. Lovely memories!
Gary Seven. Jolly well said. The tragedy is some of us like me thought the time would last forever. Now nearing eighty realism has become well apparent.
