The argument he had with his father, sounds like he's deflecting, and trying to pass on the blame for his son's death, no matter how he felt he was wronged growing up, at least he got to grow up, he could have made better choices as a grown man should, the point at this time was his choice to be irresponsible and neglectful and chose to ignore the call to save his son. Hate it when people always try to excuse their own bad behaviour because of what happened to them, you didn't like it then so don't inflict the same bad behaviour onto your own children, it's not a reason just a pathetic excuse by a weak person.
Why does feel like thus movie is from 90 Era? I don't know if it's just the type of camera they are using but this does feel like it's old one. But so far good story line.
