- I'm in British Columbia with 2021 CAC Artists' of the year Diego Asturias and Dan Peterson of @fontanawaterfeatures to visit their customers and the Water Features they've built for them.
Located in Ocean Park, Surrey - British Columbia this property has a Fountainscape in front on their driveway but in their backyard there is a Natural Pool Pond with Zipline that has Natural Log diving board, it's heated has a Wetland for filtrations, Many sheet waterfalls, Hot tub area,
Fire pit area, and walkways all over.

I love this natural pond. It's clear, inviting and looks like something that I would swim in. I can see the bottom. Ponds that are dark. I don't like, you can't see the bottom. Anything and everything could be swimming In dark swim ponds. I love this one.
I never even considered a chlorinated "natural" pool. The heating aspect is heavenly. and IMHO, if it were a salter water system, it would be even better.
That's a truly natural constructed pool. I'm usually watching "natural" pools with a rectangular shaped deep pool in the middle of a natural shaped shallow pool. These aren't natural.

What a gorgeous pond, and heated too. I know it cost a pretty penny, but should have made it 8ft to 10ft wider and longer. The water fall is absolutely beautiful with the 40' run. Great job all around.

Living next to a lake and forest growing up this is amazingly accurate..beautiful job blending into the landscaping.. kinda looks like one of our old “ swimming holes”

man i know you guys are the best and do the cleanest work, but trying to justify a 300K pond of that size is nuts..... You can literally build a house for 250-300k
It’s because they have extra money . And just like they said each one of his cars cost as much as his pond so he has the money
Ohh its totally justified, this isn't a regular pond. This is a chlorinated, heated pond with an underground drainage system. Also the intak bay and the other filters they had, def worth it!
The owner can afford it, it's okay.
I've never seen a heated natural pool before. Something to think about. Amazing job!
I just have a 12 foot stream from Fontana.. and I feel like Im living in a resort too. It brings so much joy and happiness and calming feelings to the yard .. best investment

Yes it does, also voids our warranty. but I've seen waterfalls that have been in the ground for 20 years with chlorine and they are still going strong

How does the water have a blueish tint at the deep section but crystal clear in the shallower sections? Love it.

I saw the bucket of dry chlorine as you walked up the driveway. It might be wise to suggest a salt system to avoid the inevitable white buildup that will occur with chlorine tabs or cal hypo over time. Would also keep stabilizer at bay. Too beautiful of a job to let that happen to.
Amazing build! However that boulder near the end of the zipline freaks me out lol. Ya'll need to get that removed or if someone doesn't raise their legs high enough, they will shatter their ankles lol.

What is winterization like on something like this?
since it's a natural pool, do you still have to use chlorine?

How do you clean a pool like that? xD scrub each pebble by hand?
Do they chlorinate this just like a normal pool? or do they add any other specific chemicals to keep the algae from growing?
This specific pool is chlorinated but also equipped with biological filtration should they ever go back to that.

Beautiful but wish it was attainable...prob cost more than the house. Def seems the zip line should be higher...looked like he almost hit those rocks but could be the camera angle
Why do they have a chlorine, doesn't the numerous aqua filters clean the water just the same? I realize that there's no plants for added filtration.
Why is there no moss in the lake after 3 years?
Pool doesn’t look deep enough to jump in from the zipline. It has to be 8 feet deep, but it looks 3 feet. You can also hit the rocks it you’re going too fast. But good job for a natural pool. Doesn’t look like a swimming pool. More like a wading pool.
Maintenance on this must be an absolute nightmare.
