No one give a damn about "purity". - But most of us have a hard time drumming up much excitement about planning or going to someone's 3rd wedding. I had a college professor who had 4 happy marriages. Sadly, all her husbands passed away from health issues, but I was always shocked how people treated her! Everyone has a different life experience.
I used to nanny for a young mom who’s husband was an abusive piece of trash & she broke down to me one day. I recommended she leave him. I found holes in their wall when I went to pick the kids up at their house & it looked as though the house had been torn apart. She went through two more relationships before getting married again. She’s now with a wonderful man who adores her children as his own & treats her like a queen. Everyone has to find their own way. It isn’t black & white in marriage or relationships in general.👏🏻

This stylist obviously disapproved of a 3rd marriage, and he seemed determined to undermine her choice no matter what she liked in any dress. To put her in a dress that clearly overwhelmed her petite stature, including a black sash, unquestionably displayed his distaste for this woman and his intent to sabotage her joy was blatant. I hope she fired him as soon as they left the shop.

I've been married 3 times. 1st time started dating a friend of my brothers my Sr. year of HS because my BF broke my heart. Got preggo & married at 18. Was married for 16 years & had 2 BEAUTIFUL Daughters. Married at courthouse but renewed vows on 10th Anniversary & had a ceremony in the church we attended. I did not have a "traditional" wedding dress. It was tea length & wedding-ish/Mary Poppins-ish. He turns out to be gay (KNEW something was off) 2nd Marriage - right after my divorce was final pretty much - didn't know how to be alone nor really wanted to be. We were married 5 years. Had a small wedding in the church chapel - I had an ivory 2 piece wedding dress. (BOTH of my dresses were made by my Loverly Aunt! ) I did not want the divorce but he did. (We are friends now but that took a while). He had 2 girls, I had 2 girls, we had 1 boy! My oldest Daughter is almost 35, youngest Daughter is 29 (yest. 9/27), & Son is 16 (9/7). WOW! After we were separated for a year & divorced 6 mos. guess who contacted me & we started dating? YEP My HS BF! We married 1 & 1/2 years later. I took that year and a half in between husbands 2 & 3 to LOVE myself, be myself, be BY myself, like myself, bought my own home, got a great job, relied on God & was just STILL. I was happy! Hubby 3 & I both had already experienced having a wedding & didn't want one. So we eloped! We chose to tell no one except my Daughters. Had the entire package at a B&B owned by a Preacher & his wife! I had a lovely blush pink & Ivory tea length vintage dress that I paid $120.00 for. We will be married 9 years on 11-21-20. Just because someone is on their 3rd or more Marriage doesn't mean they can't have a wedding & wedding dress though. It is up to the couple what THEY want & they should be supported!

In 2015 Hubby at the age of 50 had a hemorraghic stroke and is paralyzed on his right side & had brain damage from the burst blood vessel or the surgery to stop it. I quit my job to stay home & take care of him. Gov't does not pay a spouse to care for a spouse. They did tell me though that if we divorced I could be paid for being his care-giver. We survive on his disability. Life is full of ups and downs & loop de loops!

His comments were not helpful, kind, or appropriate. If he had an issue with her marriageS, it should have been kept to himself, or asking her privately much earlier if he had a true concern. Typically, second and third marriages have a higher failure rate than first marriages, but I sense whatever the issue, the discord he was drumming up came from his ego.
