I heard that for a turbo (like an ecoboost) full synthetic is better. Now I have a few questions is it really that much better for the turbo then the blend and if you go to full synthetic can you go back to the blend

Pennzoil and Castrol have always been great synthetic oils for me. Been using them in all my cars since 2000. Now my Fords get Motorcraft synthetic blend when I take them to the dealership, and those have been great! But my favorite when I DIY has to be Pennzoil Platinum synthetic and that's what I recommend to anyone!

any downsides on using high mileage oil?

Wait a second. He's saying that the 30W is going to be that same viscosity no matter what the temperature? Am I missing something? That's not at all how I've understood it for the last 45 years. As a single viscosity oil gets hotter it's going to get thinner. conversely as it gets colder it gets thicker, that's why you use the multiviscosity oil, so it acts like a 5W when it's cold so it flows better, not like maple syrup. Comments, anyone?

Would synthetic blend be good for high mileage cars? It's what I've been using on my 02 but not sure if I should switch to high mileage. I only go with that one cause it's the Ford Motorcraft one.

I hear also that synthetic leaks faster on old engines that have seepage through old seals and gaskets. Leakage also heightens cost concerns, reducing the attraction of synthetic, but leaking faster reduces the attraction further still.

Just got my 2021 mustang 5.0 and I just hit 3,100 miles and I went to get an oil change, but they told me that it wasn’t up since it has a smart technology oil sensor and that sensor would let me know when exactly it would need the change especially since I drive it here and there.

No such thing, it's calculated based on time, mileage and engine load. I would tell them to change it anyway because it's your car not theirs but you do you man.

Never mind what anyone says. Change it every 3000 miles or 3 months ;which ever comes first.Oil loses viscosity after 1000 miles. I have been buying new cars since 1971. Never had engine problems. I do it religiously. Take this piece of advice from a 73 year old.

Synthetic blends give you no clue as to what the percentages of the two oils are.
