“Never See Death” - Part One

  • As Jesus preached in the temple, He made a bold and extravagant promise, telling His listeners, “If anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” Incredulous at His claim, the people opposed Him. Alistair Begg explains that the words of Jesus always demand a response, for they are the very words of God. Jesus offers a freedom that only He can provide-one that ultimately frees us from the unnatural intrusion of pain, decay, and death itself. By trusting in Him, the one who has conquered sin and death, we will not perish but have eternal life.
    Scripture: John 8:48-59
    Preached: January 14, 2024

My darling husband died last Saturday. The fact that he is with his Saviour, these words have been such a blessing again. Listen people and be blessed. Joan

Death is unnatural, unpleasant, undignified & inescapable. Death is the dreadful penalty for sin.
Physical death - the soul is separated from the body.
Spiritual Death- the soul is separated from God.
Eternal Death - the soul & body is separated from God forever.
    Jesus conquered death!

O Death, Where is thy sting?
For the unsaved there is a sting to death, For those who have surrendered their lives to Jesus the sting of death is removed . Hallelujah!!!

@Crumple-Simpshe isn't referring to this passage. But a controversial statement made by Begg during a podcast concerning a grandmother attending the wedding of her grandson to a transgender person. Begg suggested its fine to attend and to even buy a gift. I'm sure he won't respond here. But I think she is hoping he will repent for compromising what scripture calls an abomination. I love Alistair. I tell people he is my scottish dad. But he is deeply in error in regards to this position. And I do hope he repents of it.

Kind of funny you left out the part where Alistair only said that after the grandmother affirmed that she was against this union and had told the grandson her position. Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. You might want to look in the mirror to see one that needs to repent. Where were you when your "Scottish dad" taught on Jude last year? Anyone that truly follows this Pastor knows his beliefs. 🙏🙏🙏

So are we saying the Bible God's word is wrong or are we wrong?

@@mikemccormick9667No sir, I dont need to repent. Because I still love Alistair. But Gods word is my standard. Just because I disagree with him here doesn't mean I am disregarding all his wonderful teaching. But I think he is wrong here. You have a lot of venom in your post. I did not. I'm not sure its me that needs a heart check on this one. And by the way, I have transgender family and I love them but don't support that for them either. The word of God is the standard. Not feelings. I pray for them and I love them. But I dont affirm that choice. Also , I did hear him say the part I left out. I left it out because it wasn't persuasive. Anybody can go an listen for themselves. I'm not deceiving anyone. It just wasn't a persuasive argument.

I just listened to an answer to a question that you were asked about attending transgender marriage. Jesus said to shake the dust off of your shoes to people who will not chose Christ. Going to a trans wedding is a gay wedding. unless it is one guy and a woman who "became a guy" which is weird and gross and still a gay wedding bc the true guy is wanting a guy or vice versa . No we don't need to attend their wedding. you can text and say I love you. Jesus loves you and show your love in that way but going to the wedding shows that you are okay with their sin. And that it doesn't matter, but they denied who God created them to be. It does matter. Jesus would never go to a trans wedding. when he ate with the sinners. they actually were sinners who then became believers. he changed them. only the pharisees and Sadducees did not recognize that they had changed so they still called them publicans and sinners. I have to unsubscribe and pray God opens your eyes and soul to know it isn't a "fine line"

Hebrews 9.27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
The change in the blink of an eye , is passing through death.
Even if alive at Rapture, you will be changed , putting off that which is corruptible and putting on incorruptible.
    .
    Born Again .
Read the the rest of the bible people.
This man cherry picks his scripture to paint a picture that is a falaehood.

Alister needs to publicly repent of the unbiblical advice he gave that Christian woman concerning LGT marriage.
