I would be shifting to Muscat in the next few months along with family (wife + 1 kid in class 1st). My office would be near Indian/Bangladeshi embassy near Quram area...
I want to rent a 1/2 BHK in a society with Indian population and amenities like swimming pool, gym etc.
Basically, I am looking for a place where my wife/kid would get a good friends circle/amenities to spend time with.
We are a vegetarian family and like to live simple with mostly home food etc..
My monthly budget would be around 800-900 OMR for expenses including accommodation, food/grocery, car EMI (basic car)/petrol, kids education, entertainment and others.. Medical insurance is taken care of by company...
Please guide us whether we can manage in this budget.. which area/ society in muscat can I look at for stay... Which Indian schools could we chose from.. Or do we need to increase our budget..

Hello thanks for writing...yes in Quram you will find many indians...and 2.regarding school here you will find many indians schools and they follow almost same pattern so that will help you...

Madam very informative video thank you. I have questions 1. Whether any cheap alternative available for accommodation like shared room or bed space like in Dubai? 2. You said meal/day/person is at 2.5 omani riyal but on what basis this 2.5 counted whether on the basis of self cooking or by hiring cook or at some lodge or restaurant kindly make it clear please thanks in advance

1.Yes you can get...there are shared accommodation available...😊
2.If you go for monthly lunch package from any restaurant it will cost you around 1 rial per time meal...so if you go for per day meal it would cost you around 2.5 rial in any decent restaurant...but home cooked food may cost you bit less than this😊😊

Daycare fees
And what about maids...
And per month fees
Hii...for both the parents working many options are here...like many daycares plus Indian staff is there with Indian teachers also...and apart from that maid service is here...from legal agencies you can hire maid (full time or part time )
For day care as per my own experience per month charges would be around 30 rial PM approx. (for day care only)

hii...maternity benefits are there un few companies not many...generally companies dnt pay maternity expenses but yes maternity leaves are there..for father few days and for mother for 50 days (paid leave)

Yes it is...very safe and secure👍 in last 5.5 yrs we have not experienced any thing negatv...from acceptability aspect and from overall safety aspect...its good😊👍

It is good...agricultural salary here is minimum 450 rial and average is around 900 to 1000 rial pm...and higer salary depends upon ur expernce (2000 rial plus)
