He's said he'll never play HL, the character just requires too much extra effort in 4s, especially on PC where people are still react parrying lights. HL needs a rework first.

How does he always get ganked by people that aren't overly aggressive? I always get ganked by people constantly spamming attacks and bashes until I'm dead. Also conq is still zero fun to fight against, probably worse now actually
better yet, how he is always ganked by bunch of monkeys? Have you ever seen on his clips players closer to his skill and knowledge? Cuz I didn't.
These are clips from his streams on Twitch, if you watch the actual streams he isn't always fighting players like this. The clips are just the best of the bunch.

@@jakebrightman7678 Hard to dodge attacks and the sweep, lots of unblockable's and mixups, difficult for the avearge player to predict 1/4 diffrent actions that can be taken in less of a second. Generally just really fast. And the sound of his staff hitting over and over is infuryating!
He's just really oppressive to fight against and i groan every time i see him because i know i'm in for a bad time.
@@bluntlyhonest6803 So first thing is it the unreactable direction the game it is going, is some of the problem there, so not quite shaolin but not much can be done there apart from learn and practice more. Dodging the sweep, you need to dodge into it instead of away from it. Its a working unreactable (for the most part) mixup and flow so its kinda you got to commit to reads, some you'll get wrong, some you'll get right but thats the way it'll be, more experience usually means better chance or a correct read. But take nobu for example, similar kick/undodgeable mixup, thats still relatively reactable for quite a few people, which is why it doesn't work all that well.
@@jakebrightman7678 You are very likely right in everything you say, and i might be whining, but he is the one hero i just cant seem to get a grip on how works as he is so speractic in th way he fights, i cant tell half the time if im being hit by a light or heavy attack.
Of course practice makes perfect, but not everyone can spend 10 hours a day learning to comfortably fight a singular hero in a videogame.
Something a bit unrelated but i wanted to add anyway, if you pit bots against each other, notice how well the Shaolin does. I swear he always gets the most takedowns amongst all other bots.

Jokes aside. Hes just not fun to fight, and that is my main issue as he just pummels me and counters every move i do with a weirdly fast or tracking light attack or just sweeps and kicks me over and over, and if i try to dodge guard break... Every single time.
@@bluntlyhonest6803 i mean everyone's entitled to their own opinion, you might find it useful to play shoalin, so you get to know his kit, in and out also you'll see how others count moves, dodge to gb isn't the best unless you know for certain they won't follow through with heavy, but if they do change to dodge to nothing and block it, or even parry it, they'll stop the followup heavy then you can gb, but the sweep is a bit weird to dodge, dodging right (towards) the sweep seems to help with that and the AI bots thing is because i actually think they do learn so basically it'll be the same as you
