- Placing your front wheel back on your dirt bike sounds simple enough, but there are a few steps you want to keep in mind.
Michael Lindsay explains some of the finer points to adjust and avoid binding in the front forks. - Sport
Yeah not sure if this is new or old content but Michael is always help with these tips please keep it coming whether it’s on vital or his channel, thanks
The best type of explaining on youtube! Thank you Mike👍
Michael Lindsay my guy!! Good tip.. I'll use this next time..
Great clip-explanation ! thanks
Thank you, Michael. I have a feeling my forks on my 22.5 Rockstar 450 have been binding. I'll give her a test ride once my collarbone heals.
Great video, for additional security I would recommend fork aliment tool
Excellent!!
Thanks! I wasn't sure whether there should be play in front hub or should pull forks across to snug up - seems like I need correct size spacers rather than forcing the forks :)
When I free spin my front wheel on my dortbike it sounds like sand is in the brake but its litterally a brand new bike is this normal or what
Would this be the same procedure if my bike only has one set of pinch screws to the axle? Meaning I don't have 4 screws only 2 on one side of the fork
ML still doing some content for Vital? If so, that's rad.
Last batch of videos from me, I think there's one more I'm in and that's all she wrote. I'm still on the forum a ton, but all my content I produce now is on my own channel.
I used a impact driver for the axle bolt. Will I be ok? 😮
No. Tighten the axle nut and keep the 4 axle pinch bolts loose, then spin the wheel and pull in the front brake. Do this repeatedly to center the front wheel. Then tighten the pinch bolts.
I'm going by the way I was taught while working with KYB.
@@MichaelLindsay I think I learned this when I was about 10 from reading motocross action magazine. I literally would read those magazines from front to back, back to front. Hey, whatever works. Read a Suzuki manual, after about 10 hrs, you pretty much need a new bike.
Michael Lindsay are you keep all the triple clamp bolts loose during this? Also are the fork NEVER supposed to move inward during any front wheel/axle alinement? I after even a small crash I want to adjust my front wheel. So what’s the fast way to do this?
@@EarthSurferUSA doctors are being manipulated by the government. They can't do what they really want, and have to follow guidelines. A lot of ppl don't understand mx in general. Good luck
The front of that dirt bike looks like an angry duck
Is ML back orrrr is this old footage?
That long hair tells me his back
@@chadsugden411 my last project before I left, I'm not back but I still hang out with these guys all the time.
surely this isn’t right. it’s a straight smooth axle withou a shoulder spacer the axle spacers should be the right length so the right fork leg snugs it’s axle spacer to keep the wheel from moving sideways
Terrible
No torque wrench huh.... Just gorilla tighten it?.... Sound like a legit mechanic right there.... Or may you just buy Motion Pro ForkTru Fork Tube Alignment Tool for 25 bucks, use a manual and torque correctly....
