You could also use liquid polyester for wood, it comes as a white paint, it dries very quickly and after sublimating the colors look more vivid and bright

Polycotton. (You can spray this liquid on cotton fabrics, let dry and sublimate. You guys will make beauties with this. Thank you very much for your videos, i really love it.
Kim and Garrett, Great ideas, I just reconverted my Epson 4800 printer. I had no problem doing it, and it worked great. My problem is that I bought two of the same model, using the same ink refills. So I labeled them #1, and #2. I labeled the ink for them. BUT, I grabbed the wrong ink which was the regular ink and installed it in my cyan of the sublimation. My question is how do I clean the cyan refiller so that I can reinstall the proper sublimation cyan ink in that one. OR am I out a printer? Please help me and give me some ideas. Thank you. Wendy

OMG how stupid I am..... I wish I would have seen your tip on just changing the caps - I dumped ink into other containers, rinsed and dried bottles and then added sublimation ink to them LOL. Great tip guys! I am really enjoying this channel - just discovered it yesterday.

Much easier to get online inexpensive empty Epson printer bottles, pour all inks in individually and use to fill the printer rather than jury-rig other ink bottle tops and squeezing bottles with chances of messes. Plus, later on you can refill when low.
I loved all of it! I learned a new trick from you guys with the laminating sheets! Your project turned out so great! I have the same printer, but it's used as a regular printer and I love it. For my sublimation printer I got an Epson wf-3540 from FB marketplace for $75 and "converted" it through ink-X-Pro. The guy who sells the inks is super helpful. Also...it's a little known secret that you don't ALWAYS need sublimation paper. I have used regular copy paper a few times ;).

I looked on their website and was able to determine what kind of printer would work simply by looking at the different ink systems they offered and their compatible printers. For the epson 2760 sublimation with printers Jack ink…. What should my color settings be? Brightness, contrast, saturation, cyan, magenta, yellow????? Did you change the printer default settings? I also converted my Epson 2720 for sublimating, the prints came out ok. I then watched a post on CZcams from Quick SPI on how to change the printer settings for sublimation. Noticeable difference in the quality of printing.
Cleaning?? What who cleans lol. This is such a great video. I’ve been curious. My understanding is that the ink is waterproof but sensitive to UV exposure which will cause it to fade faster. There are a few items you can coat them with to reduce that issue.
i already have the epson ET 2670 printer i found out about the sublimation a day late and a dollar short so now i have to find a way to take the ink out and put my sublimation ink into the printer.

Garrett made a mess! Haha! So I heard you should not squeeze the ink bottles but I love the bottle top hack, is there a reason why you didn’t just skip the funnel tip and pour the ink straight from the bottle?
I was just looking at Epson printers for sublimation. Any reason you didn't go with the large format Epson ET 15000? (or similar) It seems like being able to print 13x19 sublimation paper would go hand in hand with glowforge bed size. (or some of the bigger prints you can make on the pro) I really like that you keep the mistakes/snafus in the video it helps the rest of us learn what not to do.
I'm just starting sublimation and biught a course video. I'm wondering why you didn't have to change your printer settings? My colors are not as vibrant on the timbers I just did and can't figure out how to follow along with course to update as the course is a couple of years old and his screens don't look the same. You made it look really easy, thanks again. I haven’t tried Starbond glue yet, but have seen other YT’ers use it. Did you know they have a spray accelerator? I think it would be Garrett’s best friend! Also I believe they have a bottle with a small tip applicator for the small wood piece you would use on some of your cute glow forge designs.

Nope, but we were just talking in the last couple of videos how we haven't been able to make anything successful with those tiles and the only thing left is the laminating sheets on them. ;)
I am considering getting started with sublimation. I have some questions. My computer is not blue tooth and this printer says it is wireless. Does it give the option of connecting it to the printer without it being used as wireless, and did you havae to treat your MDF pieces with something to make it sublimation friendly?
I wonder if you used acrylic paint if the sublimation ink would adhere to that... Polyester and acrylic are both essentially plastic so it'd be worth a try!

I bought one of these about a month ago and I'm still having problem connecting it to my laptop. I connect it, use it, but once I turn the printer off, I have to uninstall all the Epson programs from my computer and reconnect it from scratch every single time I use it😭😭😭 I can't even use the warranty because I'm using sublimation ink😭😭😭😭😭
Same thing was happening to us when I moved it and changed networks. I ended up unplugging the router and rebooting everything, it has stay connected since.

Great show guys! If you are concerned about the outdoors with the sublimation you can spray a Spars Urethane over it. Should hold up good.

When it’s time to refill the Espon is it anything special you have to do? Or do u just add some more ink to the color when it gets low

I believe the letters from Michaels, are MDF which stands for Medium Density Fiber.

There are conversion kits for certain printers, but to do what we did you'll need any "ecotank" epson printer.

Once you use sublimation ink in it, you can't really go back to regular ink.
