  • @dr.yuvarajanpalanisamy9805

    Good evening Dr
    Few doubt's as I am from another field
    1.did a stab wound collapses entire lung of one side left/right there is no anatomical bordering of lobes within one side
    2.does sleeping position affects lung function as said in yoga its better to sleep at left lateral at bed side

    • @dr.yuvarajanpalanisamy9805
      @dr.yuvarajanpalanisamy9805 Před 4 lety

      Just for information Elephants don't have a pleural space because its replaced by connective tissue.

    • @Campbellteaching
      @Campbellteaching  Před 4 lety +1

      Stab wound will collapse the whole lung on one side. While the lungs are in lobes, the pleural membranes do not surround the lobes, just the whole lung. The lobes however can help to reduce the spread of infection, as in lobar pneumonia.

    • @Campbellteaching
      @Campbellteaching  Před 4 lety +1

      I don't think the side you sleep on makes any difference at all.

    • @Campbellteaching
      @Campbellteaching  Před 4 lety

      Does this mean an elephant can not get a pneumothorax?

    You have told in capillary lecture that fenestration endothelial cell don't have intercellular space bot in renal lecture you told there is intercellular gap in glomorous. Please answer that there are intercellular gap or not

    • @Campbellteaching
      @Campbellteaching  Před 4 lety +3

      I think there are fenestrations rather than gaps between the cells. The gaps are within the cells, penetrating the cellular cytoplasm. So there are gaps, but these are generated by the fenestrations.

      Teaching is limited, there is a need to simplify, but not to mislead. Teaching is also limited by the finite knowledge of the individual teacher, certainly true in my case.
