I had the fortune of living in the same town as Scroob, and this song came at a crucial time in my life when I was on a downward spiral of self harm and suicidal ideation. I heard this and it stopped me self harming and began an upward trajectory of my life and responsibility for my mental health. I was lucky enough to be able to talk to Scroob and tell him the affect this song had on me and he was genuinely touched. I hope I'm not the only one this song has helped. Stay strong and remember, if you're fighting your mind everyday and you are still here, you can't possibly be weak.

I think the purpose of the music was to obscure the words more and more as it played on because that's how depression and suicidal thoughts are. You can't hear anything other than your dark thoughts. And you feel like no one can see your pain and no one can understand you. He says "Not enough people to listen" so the strong music is symbolic about that. But then again, that's just my opinion

this made me take the step back, away from the cliff, when i was staggering as a young mum. thinking of what i'd make people i love go through just made it impossible to give up. this may not apply to all and every situation, but it's definitely one way of looking at suicide.

Before finding an open window to get into her house, hearing her daughter scream "mummy wake up" I thought she was dead. The panic and gut wrenching terror I felt will stay with me until the day I die. I love this song and it's lyrics, but I also recognise it's very hard to reason with someone when they're in that state and you may only serve to make them feel guilty and worse.
I listened to this whilst writing an essay on the moral permissibility of suicide for philosophy... The point I had made on my essay plan was simply: "Dying could cause upset and disrupt the community." This song made it apparent that my point was completely devoid of any emotion and how I had greatly underestimated the importance of this. I think this shows a problem with philosophy in general. Can we really understand issues like suicide when we have no personal emotional attachment to them?

My family even after what my grandad did, tried to avoid getting me help cause of stigma but i went ahead and got on meds.
