【背景1】金沙古国VS三星国，是一水相隔的邻国。
瑶羽：金沙国小公主，爱慕白川
白川：金沙国祭师，瑶羽的师父

【1】栖夏原身是开在古河道边的一株杜鹃，
古河道（两边是金沙国vs三星国）曾经经历过无数场的战争，战争的鲜血让栖夏修炼成了杜鹃花妖。
栖夏见过无数场战争都是因为一些堂而皇之的理由开始，战争最终给历史留下的都是血和泪。
栖夏厌倦了这些，就来到了月亮湾，建立起了一个安居乐业的桃源。
栖夏因缘际会发现了月亮湾藏有力量强大的巫术典籍，怕被有心人利用就建造了一个铜器，将典籍封印在了铜器内，钥匙就是她手上的权杖。月亮湾属于金沙镜，这里的人民过着隐居般的生活。
【2】三星国的大巫师阙，也发现了月亮湾隐藏的强大巫术力量。为了获得这些巫术典籍，他派三星国的大将军姜芜潜入月亮湾，盗取权杖。

这只小蝴蝶因为栖夏的残魂附着，而变得跟普通的蝴蝶不一样，有了灵识，孤单地活过了千年。
（失去了栖夏的庇护，人们也逐渐离开此地四散各方，月亮湾渐渐衰落荒芜，千年后，被藤蔓野草覆盖，变得不为人知。）
直到有一天，小蝴蝶偶遇了阙（大巫师/大魔王）。阙随手点化，把小蝴蝶化成人。小蝴蝶跟了阙一段时光，发现阙一直不开心，但她不懂为什么。
后来她跟阙分开了，自己到处游历。
有一天，在蜘蛛洞里，被蜘蛛精的蛛网捕获，遇到路过的蒲松龄，并获救。
于是，小蝴蝶就一直跟在蒲松龄身边，蒲松龄教她认字读书作画，她开始通晓人性，并慢慢对蒲松龄产生了爱慕之情。但她自己并不明白这是一种什么感情，只是在每次爱意来临的时候，就会心痛难忍。这时候，她发现跟阙以前不开心的心情或许大概是一样的。
从此之后，她开始做梦，梦里时常出现姜芜的身影。
在一次书房玩耍中，小蝴蝶心痛晕倒。迷梦中，她仿佛在已经荒芜了千年的月亮湾旧址上奔跑，心痛难忍的时候，被一个人偶绊倒并再次昏迷了过去。
在这次昏迷中，她仿佛重新回到了千年前的月亮湾，透过她脑海中栖夏残存的灵识，看到了当时战乱的场景重演。（在梦中，她的灵识与栖夏融合，而栖夏也或许透过她，得知了她死后，姜芜用自己的生命保存了她一缕灵识的后续）
小蝴蝶从月亮湾旧址的昏迷中醒来，捡起了绊倒她的那个小人偶。（此时的她很难过，不知道是自己，还是残存的栖夏灵识的导致的感伤。她埋头在小人偶上。）
最后，小蝴蝶从月亮湾旧址的梦中梦里醒过来，发现自己晕倒在蒲松龄怀里，在蒲松龄追问之下，向他讲述了她梦中的离奇故事。
而蒲松龄，是一个到处游历，并喜欢记录各种离奇故事的书生。所以他愉快地把这些故事收录到他编著的志怪小说《聊斋志异》中去。
