Hey Dane, i got an exercise suggestion for you, maybe you yet didn't try it but like it. It's a landmine curtsy lunge with the front foot slightly elevated, a pause in the bottom and an explosive concentric. It really helped me with my first step to the side for racket sports. What i like most about this variation is that you can really lean into the landmine when you hold it in a zercher position, and get a pretty similar angle like in game. You can really drive up from a deep position into a hiplock at the top. I used it in a 3-5 rep range for explosive power and also in a 8-10 rep range for hypertrophy in the glute med and abductors.
