These books are actually much prettier than i first thought! I dont know what i was expecting- perhaps extreme zen doodly pages but these are really beautiful! Thank you for showing us and your colouring is wonderful 😊❤
I think Johanna basford is perfect for beginner colourists as her pages range from smaller images to larger full page spreads with not too many tiny details in any! 💞

I know secret garden was a lot of people's first colouring books! I didn't start colouring until years after it was released so I was spoilt for choice with the amount of colouring books out there 🥰

I only started colouring in mid 2022 so pretty much every book was new to me! 😂

Johanna is still one of my favorite artists. My first book was Johanna’s Christmas, then Enchanted Forest. Enchanted Forest is on my list of books to finish one day, I’m about a quarter done so far. So many beautiful pictures you’ve colored, I can’t pick just one favorite. I really love the compass page in Enchanted Forest, but the owl post page in Rooms of Wonder is stunning!
I really need to return to enchanted forest as there's so many beautiful pages in there!

Gotta love a good pink and purple flower! 😂 Lost ocean has never been one that's appealed to me so I've never felt the need to add it to my collection!
Hi Jess. Love all of your pages. I had the same thought as you for Ivy and the Inky Butterfly and like you, I have been stuck on the Wonder Room for what seems like forever, lol. I wanted to try and tackle more of it in March, but that did not happen. But I am pushing myself to do more and try hard to complete it for April so I can move on. I’d love to see your page when you complete it too.
Its a tough page to motivate yourself to complete! 😂 I did colour a bit after this video but still so much to go 😂😂
i recently got small victories and room of wonders and lovee em ive been coloring a lot in em. i hadnt been feelin like coloring big complicated detailed koby rosannes coloring books so i decided to get these 2 colorin books and ive just been enjoying em a lot!! ive been colorin everyday in em with pencils or pens
I love the variety of pages in rooms of wonder - some have loads of details to colour and others are a smaller image on the page which suits your different moods! 🥰

Can you do some coloring tutorials? I LOVE your style/technique. i would love to learn how to do the backgrounds also!!!
I'm still working out how I will share colouralongs/tutorials but there'll definitely be some coming in the future! 🥰
The only Johanna book I have is World of flowers but definitely want to get Worlds of wonder and Ivy and the inky butterfly. Maybe go over your Hannah Karlzon colored pages or mythogrpahic ones. Disney might be fun as well.
Definitely recommend both of those books! Also small victories is a great book for short colouring sessions!
What were you using for pencils for these?
I used a variety of pencils and I tried my best to name what I used as I showed the pages in the video! A lot of my early colourings in magical jungle and world's of wonder were using creative peaks and brutfuner squares but I've also used polychromos and staedtler design journey pencils 🥰
